FASHION ALERT: EDIT Trade Show to Debut in New York, February 23 - 25, 2014 New advanced contemporary women's show welcomes celebrated international and emerging brands

EDIT, the new advanced contemporary women's trade show will debut at the Javits Center in New York, February 23 - 25, 2014. Presented by the multi-media Business Journals Fashion Group, EDIT has been conceived and developed to fill the need in the market for a focused, intimate show featuring apparel, accessories and footwear brands at premium to luxury price points.

An invitation only presentation .
EDIT offers a central platform in market week's destination venue where upscale brands and designers can meet with like-minded retailers. Select department store, specialty chain and boutique buyers have been referred by participating brands and identified by EDIT 's retail development team. With its central location at the Javits Center, EDIT's attendance will represent the heart of the domestic and international premium contemporary markets. Onsite concierge will ensure that last minute applications are reviewed and that stores are right for EDIT, before admission is granted to the show floor.

An elevated show experience.
Replacing the maze of booths and anonymous traffic, EDIT features an open gallery setting and targeted match-making between retailers and brands.. In addition to shopping exquisite brands, personalized experiences and interesting collaborations are part of the EDIT culture and translate as amenities such as an aromatherapy station on the show floor, byMighty Real Skin , featuring a therapeutic EDIT blend for alertness and focus. Buyers walking the show are also offered a whimsical fashion illustration of themselves, by emerging fashion illustrator Matthew Chow. Online PR showroom TheRunthrough will host a welcome breakfast for EDIT brands and offer coaching on increasing press coverage to drive sales.

The launch edition of EDIT will feature brands with a signature point of view across women's apparel, accessories and footwear, hailing from countries throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
