To this day, one of the nicest restaurant stories we've encountered in Manhattan is the story of Pascalou.  It's all because two people fell in love.  Really.
Go there and they'll tell you, and you in turn will be in love with their cuisine.
Pascalou was Highly Recommended in 2011:
They continue to impress us tremendously.   Peachy Deegan began with a green salad:
Every component from the ripe, juicy tomatoes to the array of colored peppers to the greens and endive were just spectacular.  Ms. I Don't Eat Olives happened to love THESE olives. The leafy lettuce was the perfect base.
As an entree, what jumped out at us was Scallops Provencal.   This star selection is served with roast tomatoes, basil, and braised fennel, all expertly prepared.  With the final party guest to the plate being jumbo asparagus, this genius combination will put the proper spring in your step and the oceanic dish will fast forward you to summer.  And also consider the nutrition and count those vegetables!  The succulent scallops were so tender and delicious!  Seared to perfection, they are tops.
For our appetizer, we found the Seafood Risotto most convincing, and this was the perfect complement to the Scallop dish.  Every bite of the crabmeat, shrimp, mussels, and clams form a symphony from the sea in another octave that your stomach will find most alluring, n'est pas?  Oui, oui!
"J'aime Pascalou!" exclaims Peachy Deegan.  So yes, it is Terrific Takeout so march yourself down Madison tout de suite!
