Motorola Returns to China With An Array of Smartphone & Wearable Choices

Motorola is bringing four of our best-ever products to China -- just three months after the Lenovo acquisition -- giving consumers in the world’s most exciting smartphone market more power to choose how they connect to the world.

Introducing the new Moto X, Moto X Pro, Moto G and Moto Hint - all built by our renowned engineering and design teams to ensure quality and style. Together these devices offer you meaningful experiences and a range of personalization options.

Moto X: Choose how it looks. Choose how it works.
Moto X is designed with a sense of style and quality, featuring a refined metal frame, authentic materials, such as FSC® certified woods and genuine, American-made Horween® leather, plus a vivid 5.2-inch full HD display, all in a compact body that feels great in your hand. It gives you fast performance with the latest version of Android™ Lollipop, and even faster software updates.
Moto X can do just about anything, without you ever touching the phone. Enhanced voice and gesture control let you interact with your phone in many meaningful ways. Moto X displays notifications and updates you rely on without disrupting what you’re doing. You can teach Moto X to adapt its behavior in certain situations so that you can do more or not be interrupted. All of these experiences – Moto Voice, Moto Assist, Moto Display and Moto Actions – combine to make everyday interactions easier.

Earlier this month, tens of thousands of you voted on the colors and materials you wanted first for Moto X. Starting today, six of the most popular choices are available for pre-order atMotorola.com.cn, JD.com, T-Mall, Gome, Suning and DXT in 16GB models for RMB 3,299 online. The most voted-for color, turquoise, will be available at launch at a special price of RMB 2,999 online.

Natural leather, bamboo and wood models with 32GB of storage are also available for pre-order starting today, initially at Motorola.com.cn and JD.com, for RMB 3,699 online.

Coming soon, you here in China will be the first in Asia to be able to customize your own Moto X through Motorola’s exclusive online design studio - Moto Maker - allowing you to choose your own colors or materials, wallpaper, memory and more.

Moto X Pro: Choose to go bigger.
Moto X Pro gives you the same great software experiences of Moto X - including Moto Voice - in a bigger, more powerful package. The 6-inch Quad HD display and front-facing stereo speakers provide crisp visuals and immersive sound. Plus, a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization captures high-quality photos in all lighting.
Moto X Pro will be available in China starting in March.

Moto G: Choose a phone that keeps up with you.
The latest version of Moto G was designed with you in mind, providing exceptional mobile experiences. The curved design fits comfortably in your hand and nicely in your pocket, with colorful Motorola Shells included so you can switch to match your personal style. China is among the first markets to get Moto G with 4G LTE, so you will be among the first to experience 4G LTE and quad-core processing speed. With Moto G, you also get incredible call quality, dual-SIM capability, a brilliant 5-inch HD display, an all-day battery and stereo sound. Plus, it’s built to last with scratch-resistant glass and a water-resistant coating.
Moto G will be available for pre-order in China starting on February 10th for 1,299 RMB (8GB) and 1,499 RMB (16GB) online, initially at Motorola.com.cn and JD.com.

Pure Android, your apps

We’re including essential apps like App Store, Security, Browser, Music along with Maps to get you started, and minimizing the bloatware so you can set up your device the way you want, choosing from the huge and growing range of Android apps and services.

Moto Hint: Choose how you connect.
Moto Hint is a discreet wireless earbud designed to look good and feel great. It gives you complete control of your phone and allows you to access everything you need by just using your voice. When paired with your Moto X, you can ask a question like “Will it rain today?” or tell it to send a text message, all without touching or even looking at your phone. Moto Hint is coming to China soon.

Moto X and Moto X Pro support the 4G networks of all three Chinese carriers. Moto G is available in two versions, one for CMCC and China Unicom 4G networks, and one for China Telecom’s 4G network, both with dual-SIM/dual-standby capabilities.
