Bleecker Street Pizza has some of the best pizza around downtown, and it was first featured in the summer of 2013:
There's a big difference between a brand that is featured once, and a brand that's featured more than once.  We are thrilled to announce this is their second feature, and this time we were pleased to meet both owners.  There's a family connection: Doug married Tony's sister.  Please listen to Doug tell you about his creation:

Bleecker Street Pizza began in 2003 and has always been located at 69 Seventh Avenue South at the corner of Bleecker Street.  We were greeted with a smile and offered a slice of the Grandma pizza: their homemade marinara sauce, mozzarella, parmesean, olive oil and fresh garlic on a thick, crunchy crust:
We liked their pizza in the summer, but think perhaps it hits the spot even more when it's freezing outside!  This has a satisfying crunch to the crust and the ingredients are fragrant and fresh.  The tomatoes are particularly flavorful.
The imaginary angel of nutrition named Bloomberg that sits on Peachy's shoulder when she orders always insists on a green salad.  We were delighted to try the House Salad, which is a generous proportion, and one of the best salads we've seen recently by a casual venue.  It was even better than the salad we tried the last time.  Mixed baby greens, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumbers, red and green peppers, tomatoes, olives and Bermuda onions team up for a winning salad that is an absolute must in your Bleecker Street Pizza edible itinerary.

This time, for the pizza we chose the Vegetable Pie with Fresh Mozzarella.  Broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, garlic and green peppers successfully rested upon a standup crust which must go to the gym as it held up all of these vegetables with no trouble.  Whoever thinks pizza is not healthy should reconsider when they see these ingredients, and best of all, the taste is wickedly delicious despite the healthy benefits!  The ingredients that compose this edible wheel of wonder are terrifically fresh and if you see the steam coming out at you in the picture, you can only imagine how much more phenomenal the aroma is in person, and then the flavor.
Unfortunately, the computer is not scratch and sniff.
The menu has a section called Oversized Heroes. People from Connecticut do not use that term: we say grinders.
Peachy Deegan ordered the Chicken Parmigiana grinder and the mozzarella on top was so standout!
When you open it up, another awakening of your senses occurs from scent to taste and you will devour this sandwich with glee, complete with succulent chicken enhanced by that homemade marinara.
Bleecker Street Pizza continues to be Terrific Takeout!

It's always time for Pizza!
