New Column: Learning Gaelic with Peachy Deegan

ENGLISH is definitely absolutely the official language of Whom You Know and you know we also like French a lot because when she was a child, Peachy Deegan learned French from French Canadian hockey players (for fun).  For two years in middle school and for four years at Miss Porter's, Peachy seriously studied French, and Boston College considered her proficient when she entered as a freshman so she did not have to take it in college.  Here in New York, the Italian trade commission has been great at teaching us phrases in Italian here and there...However, as a student at UCC, Peachy Deegan was on the campus radio with Des Curran and their show was named POC OFF, a nod to gaelic and the verb for hitting the ball in the game of hurling, which you should watch.
In this new column, you will learn some new phrases as it slowly develops.
Though Gaelic is mainly a dead language, it will be fun to keep a few phrases alive!
