LES MOULES POULETTE!!!!!!

Fabulous Salmon Tuna Tartare, the embodiment of summer!
It's not only the Spanish that do gazpacho well!

It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we have been so glad to know Luc and Ilda, owners of Jubilee for years...and know what the best of the best do?  They write COOKBOOKS and better yet, they are invited to participate them.  Jubilee joined the elite ranks of our cookbook publishing column recently:
and they were most recently featured last winter:

People that excel do not try to do well for one review, but continue to excel and their menu concurrently blooms with each season like Jubilee's does.
We love it there and have lived through both of their locations!
We returned this summer with enthusiasm to try their greatest summer hits which began with Gazpacho, which is essentially summer in a bowl.  Served in authentic glasses from Mexico, the bright fresh flavor of Luc's Gazpacho inaugurates a sensational meal.
Not all green salads are this attractive and robust, but at Jubilee the Field Green Salad with Tarragon House Dressing, on the side for Ms. Pretty Picky is superlative.  Note if you are new to us, we never edit the pictures.  You truly are a Master Chef of France like Luc or you are not.

You are going to adore the Shrimps and Avocado Salad, uber-appropriate for the summer season and it is invigorating to eat something so refreshing!  If you have been reading closely you know Peachy overall is not a huge fan of sauces because she likes everything to taste the way it is supposed to and what she might not be saying in every other review, especially to the person being reviewed is, "I like sauces but yours are not as excellent as Luc's!"  For someone that does not like honey and is not crazy about ginger, Peachy loves the honey ginger dressing here!  Of course, Luc has always been aesthetically motivated, and he is for every guest, every dish.

Some people have Salmon Tartare.
Some people have Tuna Tartare.
At Jubilee you can have both, and you know we want it all!
Superlatively stacked upon a starburst of cucumber slices, perfectly thin, meet the spectacularly fresh Salmon and Tuna tartare, the best we have seen this summer.
Every bite is terrific freshness and you will revel in this appetizer.
Also note that the music here is classy and the wine is tops.
Peachy prefers Bordeaux.

Again, true beauty.
Organic Broiled Atlantic Salmon announces summer is here upon a bed of zucchini tagliatelle, which lends great color and is sliced perfectly thin, cascading below the salmon.  Seafood is super fresh here and we always rejoice in the absolute premium quality adhered to.
You know what this picture means!
Peachy is excited.
Her stomach is excited!
The absolute best mussels in all of New York ANY TIME of year are at Jubilee. We just checked a few other spots that were good, but not as great as Luc, who rules this dish about fourteen different ways.  You have to have Les Moules on your Jubilee visit or you are deprived in life forever.
So, these are the best mussels we have had this year and the last time they were this good was when we were at Jubilee last.  Everyone can learn from Luc because his are the best.  Poulette is especially amazing with the creamy chicken broth, mushrooms, chives and white truffle oil and you will absolutely revel in the experience.
Aside from being blissfully intoxicated by the mussels, Peachy's absolute favorite dish here is the Roasted Sea Scallops.  She thinks she had it on her very first visit in 2011 and again, no one does scallops as well as Luc does.  Some people over do them, some people under do them, but Jubilee's are JUST RIGHT FOR GOLDILOCKS PEACHY!   Orzo comes to the party and the parmesean and the porcini sauce is superlative.  The scallops are of the utmost quality and are perfectly round.

Isn't this just ducky!  We don't love duck everywhere, but we do commend the edition of Duck Magret at Jubilee, which is a succulent juicy wonder of goodness.  Sourced from the Hudson Valley, the duck joins fingerling potatoes and is perfectly accentuated with the rich accent of truffle sauce.

We are big fans of green vegetables, and few sautee them as well as Jubilee does with the brussels sprouts and the green beans, cooked just right and adding a bastion of nutrition to your meal.

One of the biggest treats of Jubilee is their Souffle, which is the best in probably the entire Northeast of America.  We have had all three versions over time and this time, we chose the summery selection of blueberry.
That's Creme Anglaise on the left!
Watch them interact:

Luc did it for us because he is of course the professional, and you know who is the professional photographer!

This is one of the most amazing desserts you can have on the planet, and the souffle here is of perfect consistency.  Few places offer a souffle at all in 2018 and the others we have seen are not even competitive with these by Luc.  Others might think they can make souffles, but only Luc really can!

Jubilee continues to be Highly Recommended and we can't wait to see what they do with their Fall 2018 menu!
