#NewYorkNotes @RecordingAcad #Grammy2019 Highly Recommended by #WhomYouKnow 2019 GRAMMY® NOMINEES ALBUM AVAILABLE NOW THE COLLECTION FEATURES 22 HITS FROM THE WORLD'S BIGGEST SUPERSTARS AND EMERGING ARTISTS

One of our most favorite days of the year is the day the Grammy Nominees album arrives! It is representative of the Sound Santa Claus.
Whom You Know has been honored to work with the Recording Academy for many years now, and today it is a bigger celebration than ever of unity in America celebrating excellence across all music genres.  Nearly everyone will find something to love on this album and it represents a monumental amount of talent and effort.

Naturally, we are going to love certain songs more than others because we're human.
Of course, we love those most whom we know, and though we don't know Tony Bennett, we've met him.
Track 22 is our favorite, and we are totally jealous of Diana Krall because Peachy is definitely available to do a duet with Tony whenever he wants!  They do a lovely rendition of S'Wonderful and clearly the Grammys saved the best for last.

We were pleasantly surprised by Janelle Monae's Make Me Feel that kicked off the album on a high note.  It's the best song new to us that we hadn't heard before listening to the album! (Peachy mostly listens to Rod Stewart.  She thinks he is a music category.)  We wonder what it would sound like mixed with the Michael Jackson Song The Way You Make Me Feel!?  Too bad they can't do a duet together.

The Grammy 2019 album this year is also a celebration of collaboration.  We don't remember Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett showing up on the Grammy album before but certainly they have done fabulous duets.  Bradley Cooper surprised us with Shallow and Lady Gaga; we were unaware of his singing ability but thought he was fantastic in American Sniper which we reviewed with Warner Brothers.  It goes without saying that Lady Gaga is monumentally talented.

Another favorite is hit veteran Taylor Swift who kills it with Look What You Made Me Do.  Her intelligence, skill and talent is unparalleled in this industry and she keeps getting better and better.  We have praised her work on this album in previous years, and this year we certainly missed seeing Meghan Trainor and Ed Sheeran

Country is not our favorite genre but Maren Morris is new to us and she is victorious in The Middle with Zedd and Grey.  Women completely dominate the strengths of this album and Kelly Clarkson and Pink both come in strong with I Don't Think About You and Beautiful Trauma, respectively.  Girls Like You by Maroon 5 and Cardi B is certainly catchy but we are not convinced it will have the staying power of the other songs we mentioned.

The 2019 Grammy Nominees Album is Highly Recommended by Whom You Know.
