#UpcomingDaylight #FashionAlert @curvexpo #UnderneathitAll #CurveNewYork #WhomYouKnow INTIMATELY YOURS! CURVENEWYORK TELLS WHOM YOU KNOW...

Curve tells Whom You Know:

Eurovet Americas continues to lead the Intimate Apparel industry by creating a platform for the key players in the business sector. This year, the winter edition of CURVENEWYORK is taking place at the Javits Center on February 25-27. More than 350 brands will be exhibiting and show their Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collections. Over 3 days, CURVENEWYORK will show an environment rich in new and innovative brands, develop informational sessions on important topics in the industry, and present an exploratory area of the current trends.

The Intimate Apparel market is transforming, and Eurovet Americas stands at the forefront by adapting CURVENEWYORK to suit the needs of retailers and brands.

NEW BRANDS AND TRENDS

CURVENEWYORK focuses on providing attendees with a selection of fashion forward brands and trend discovery areas on the show floor.

Sexy intimate apparel brands such as Atelier Amour, Icone Lingerie and Wylde Lingerie, romantic Le Petit Trou, natural and functional Evelyn & Bobbie, and daywear Flora Dancia will all be located at the heart of the show.

Elegant fabrics of silks, knits, and soft cottons designed in beautiful silhouettes to compliment the female form are present in the new loungewear selection at CURVE (Mey, Bondy, Ipek Kiramer, Iora Lingerie, Lavender Dreams, Ma Liberté, and Saint Haven).

Italian luxury sleepwear brands - Verdiani, Lisanza, and Clara Rossi will bring European elegance to the show floor.

A new selection of foundations and shapewear is offered at the show with brands such as Bali, Fajas, Gemsli, Hanes, Shapeon Shapewear and Susa.

Lingerie Addict Lounge

A celebration of independent niche luxury brands intimate apparel brands will be present in a special curated area by Cora Harrington, the Lingerie Addict Lounge. The opportunity to discover innovation and craftsmanship at the heart of CURVENEWYORK.

Cora Harrington will also host an exclusive signing of her book, “In Intimate Detail: How to Choose, Wear, and Love Lingerie” !

BODYWEAR

In 1968, feminists burnt their bras in an attempt to free themselves from reductive sexism. Today we are seeing a new form of women’s emancipation expressed through tolerance and self-assurance. The bra is no longer an enemy, it is now representative of a barrier to comfort and freedom of expression. Through the rise of body positivity and female self-acceptance, bodywear has become a tool to celebrate the female form.

Though the bodywear trend is moving towards minimalism, there continues to be a beauty of design in this category featuring lace, mesh and expert craftsmanship. With an aesthetic borrowed from dance, bodysuits become leotards and the bra becomes more like a top. Bodywear comes in many forms, from soft and comfortable (Chantelle, Else Undress Code) to more elegant comfort with bralettes and bodysuits made with tulle and lace, embellished with silk, satins, embroidery, decorative straps and other frills (Jolidon, Aubade, Mey). CURVENEWYORK will display a celebration of bodywear in a mannequin exhibition, featuring bodysuits from a selection of innovative brands.

TREND EXPLORATION

Intimate apparel trends are explored in the Concept Lounge, which will provide the attendees an opportunity to discover 4 different voices of the consumer.

The Loving Voice – lingerie returns to fluidity in a positive, more confident spirit.

Brands express this through delicate shapes and layers of ruffles and frou-fou. Think - Le Petit Trou, Ellipse, Flora Nikrooz, Rya Collection and In Bloom by Jonquil.

The Emancipated Voice – lingerie carries the message of freedom and a new outspoken feminine being.

Brands portray an ultra-feminine tone and accessorize their pieces with straps and lace. Think – Cosabella, Hanky Panky, Montelle Intimates, Underprotection, and Only Hearts.

The Bold Voice – lingerie is architectural with a flair of design that screams individuality.

Brands include a strategic mesh of colorful lines, bold insets and structured looks. Think – Bluebella, Undress Code, Bordelle, Playful Promises, and Jolidon.

The Naturalness Voice – lingerie reconciles body and spirit in a desire for harmony with oneself and the environment.

Brands design products to allow the body to breathe in free shapes that display the true form of the body. Think – Chantelle, Calida AG, Evelyn & Bobbie, Hanro and Hanes.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE SHOW

NPD GROUP

CURVENEWYORK will open with an exclusive look into the consumer behavior in the intimate apparel market. The intimate apparel market saw positive growth in 2018 and continues to gain momentum. By understanding the consumer buying habits, retailers and brands can more effectively curate a successful product offering.

Opening conference on Monday 2/25 at 8:15 am!

CELEBRATION OF YOURSELF

During the last session of CURVENEWYORK, attendees were given the opportunity to hear from leading social media influencers on their viewpoint of body-positivity and the role that it is playing in the intimate apparel industry. This February, Eurovet Americas in collaboration with Kimmay Caldwell (Founder of Hurray Kimmay and #MoreThanMyNumbers), will present a panel discussion discussing the general topic of inclusivity to build on the conversation beyond size inclusivity and body positivity.

Topics to be considered will include how the industry is addressing a broader range of people with a focus on factors such as age, gender, race, and size. Attendees will gain insight into how brands are adapting their products and messaging to appeal to a wider audience.

CADOLLE CONFERENCE

At the peak of an important time for women as the freedom of voice and body remains a topic keeping its stride, it is exciting to celebrate Herminie Cadolle who changed the codes of femininity by freeing women from the corset and developing the

modern-day bra. A very special presentation by Cadolle, will explore the evolution of the brand from when they first patented the bra to modern-day evolution.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of their latest book “Cadolle, An Extraordinary Family Saga”.

NEW GERMAN PAVILLON

CURVENEWYORK will expand its international offering of brands and launch the German Pavillon this February, in its efforts to diversify the product selection for attendees. The international brand discovery section on the show floor will include brands such as Anita, Feraud Paris, Falke, Mey, Roesch, Susa, Triumph and Vossen.

The aim for this section is to aid German brands in their mission to expand their ranges successfully in the US market and gain access to US retailers. It is promising that this session of CURVENEWYORK will have the most diverse selection of brands yet.
