It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and it's no secret that we have loved Ammos since 2011!  Especially with their tremendous brand new bar space, Ammos is the leading destination for Valentine's Day dining in Manhattan and has designed a special menu of four courses just for you.
Above, meet the first course: Amuse Bouche!
Seafood Ceviche is elevated and sophisticated, in a class by itself.  An old world design crafted with authenticity of freshly diced tuna, salmon, Chilean Sea Bass and Red Snapper, its flavors emanate divine indulgence setting the stage for a highly romantic evening.  All are lightly marinated in lemon juice, onions, diced tomatoes, spiced chopped Serrano chili peppers and cilantro which respectively highlight each fish without overwhelming it, like lesser ceviches at other places do.  The pita chip also packs a terrific crunch and crispy salmon skin ups the wow factor both visually and edibly.  Owner Dimitris Nakos, who is as vastly educated about wine as he is cuisine, suggested a gorgeous white wine: Malagouzia (grape) from the region of Porto Carras.
It's possible that Peachy still has football on the brain when she sees this and thinks Texas Longhorn.  However, the first course of Tonos Tartar sets the excellence standard for all Tuna Tartars now.  Made with a quick marination of salt, black pepper, cumin, soy sauce and delightfully accentuated with the most brilliant dollop of peachy pink Tarama (Carp Roe with salt, pepper, lemon and evoo) and perching upon premium avocado puree, the refreshment and beauty of this dish will make you love it tremendously.  All tuna tartars are not the same: some are just superior.
Also, even the crostini is amazing; it's toasted with oregano and evoo and the dish is punctuated perfectly with dots of balsamic reduction.  The wine is tops and we had a nicely balanced Chardonnay with this.  There are also four other first course choices, and there are also five total entree choices and three dessert choices on the bespoke Valentine's Day menu.
Eat it, not only because it's beautiful!

Meet the Main Course of Solomos: Salmon to the English speakers like Peachy!  We like learning Greek on the menu though and Peachy fantasizes about having dinner here with Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks.  Pan-seared Salmon sourced from Scotland brilliantly luxuriates on a bed of zucchini pappardelle sauteed with a glorious mushroom symphony including shiitake, portobello, funghi and button mushrooms served up with red pepper coulis.
You will be wildly impressed with the moistness of this Baklavo made on premises fresh every day with mixed nuts in a phylo dough dipped in honey syrup and belgian chocolate, topped off perfectly with fig ice cream.
As always, Ammos earns our Highest Recommendation and it's the #1 place to go for a winning Valentine's Day.
Now enjoy their beautiful expanded bar and lounge space seating around three dozen, and additionally three private dining rooms await your most fantastic soirees!

Located just steps away from Grand Central Station, Ammos Estiatorio serves a traditional Greek menu with an upscale authentic decor.  We love it.
