#ReadThis #HappinessBecomesYou by #TinaTurner @LoveTinaTurner @SimonSchuster @AtriaBooks

What's wisdom got to do with it?
Everything.

With eight decades of experience, Tina Turner reinvigorates her audience with her life's perspective which everyone can benefit from, regardless of your background or personal beliefs.  She makes a lot of sense in this wise tale, extremely personal and insightful. From the pen and soul of Tina, Happiness Becomes You will make you and your life better.

Uplifting, strategic, and positive, Happiness Becomes You speaks on a universal level.  We never knew that Tina had a theology and philosophy background extending to the seventh level of consciousness with Descartes (p. 63).  She makes it relatable: we like the sediment example on p.67.  Read this to see what we are referring to and learn!  She's intelligent and humble without being a know-it-all.  Tina's not preachy.  Page 77 evidences that she must have read Principles by Ray Dalio.

Crack open this book and problems become opportunities.  Your mindset will be elevated.

Around page 143 she speaks a lot about humanity and the only weakness in this book is that she does not address the largest problems facing it today which are the media and politicians, both of which need to be honest because what goes around, comes around.  She should address honoring the truth and taking spin out of all reporting as it was decades ago when news was news.

We also commend the quotes that punctuate the verbiage including those from Jane Fonda (loved meeting her), Aristotle (didn't meet him except for Perspectives class at Boston College) and the late great B. Smith whom we miss!  The pictures are also a plus and this is written in a kind, collaborative spirit without ego that you rarely find in "influencers" today who have lived much less and know commensurately little in comparison.

Benefit from Tina's experience and instructional gems.

Happiness Becomes You is Recommended by Whom You Know.

life sends your way.

In HAPPINESS BECOMES YOU: A Guide to Changing Your Life for Good (Atria Books, Hardcover; 978-1-9821-5215-4), Tina Turner, one of the world’s most beloved performers and author of the New York Times bestselling memoir My Love Story, returns with a deeply personal, truly helpful book that explores her longstanding practice of Buddhist principles and shows readers how to use these timeless insights to create joy in their own lives.

In HAPPINESS BECOMES YOU, she shares how all of us can overcome life’s obstacles—even change the impossible to possible—and transform our lives. She explains how we can realize our dreams, empowering us with spiritual tools and sage advice to enrich our unique paths.

For decades, Tina Turner has shined brightly as an example of someone who can generate hope from nothing, break through all limitations, and achieve success that endures. Drawing on the lessons of her own experiences—rising out of sorrowful lows to stratospheric heights—Tina illuminates the essential insights of Buddhism and shows how, since 1973, they’ve helped her elevate from despair, adversity, and poverty to joy, stability, and prosperity.

Tina Turner says: “In this very personal book, I focus on core themes of my life: hope, happiness, and faith. Even more to me than an inspirational philosophy that guides me, the wisdom of Buddhism actually saved my life! I’ll share with you the simple principles that brought me joy and fulfillment beyond my wildest dreams, so you can make your dreams come true, too. I’ll connect my experiences with the wisdom that helped me make the impossible possible and transform my life. Each page offers my heartfelt guidance to you for living with joy, because this is my greatest wish for you: That you become truly happy.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Tina Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock, is a singer, dancer, and actress whose career has spanned six decades and garnered numerous awards, including eight Grammys. After her early hit songs “River Deep—Mountain High” and “Proud Mary,” Tina’s well-publicized hardships forced her to virtually disappear from the music scene. In the 1970s, she began practicing Buddhism and rebuilt her life by tapping into her spiritual strength. She rose up to recreate her career with a string of megahits, including her 1984 album Private Dancer. In 1986, she published a bestselling memoir, I, Tina, which became the 1993 Academy Award-nominated film What’s Love Got to Do with It. Her follow-up book, My Love Story, was an international bestseller in 2018. One of the world’s most popular entertainers, Tina has sold more concert tickets than any other solo music artist in history. During her 50th Anniversary Tour (2008-2009), she performed for more than a million fans. Tina resides with her husband, Erwin Bach, in Zürich, Switzerland.
