Trent and Adriana Bishop and John Slagel of Sunkist Growers, Best in Show Says Whom You Know

In the age of covid there's never been a better time to be on the SUNNY side of the street and it doesn't get any SUNNIER than SUNKIST GROWERS!  Whom You Know was absolutely thrilled to attend the Produce Show last week at the Javits Center and it is back, better than ever.  It was last held in 2019:
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Sunkist Growers, our favorite at the New York Produce Show. They keep getting better and better and we've known them for years. Citrus King John tells us that right now Blood Oranges are the hottest game in town and they are absolutely delicious.   We also adore the Meyer Lemons!  What a great stocking stuffer: we're talking to you, Santa.

VALUES
Across the sunny citrus groves of California and Arizona, the Sunkist cooperative reflects the values of its 120-year history: family-owned farms, traditional growing practices, stewardship of natural resources, and a dedication to innovation.
Founded on the principle that we are stronger together, our growers – large and small – work to offer quality, fresh citrus that consumers enjoy worldwide.

We are well aware that life is better in Florida especially when it is literally freezing in Manhattan.  We enjoyed seeing this entry.
Obviously you all know PADDINGTON because you are well-read and besides, we just reviewed Paddington Saves Christmas.  Paddington put darkest Peru on the map for us originally.  In real life we were glad to meet new friend Bernardo Munoz Angosto, Director of the Trade Commission of Peru in New York, above and he was serving up Passion Fruit Cocktails which were delicious.  We also were delighted to meet Barry Sexton, from the Opinionated Palate Catering Service, below.
Our friend Neil Milburn, owner of Church Brothers Farms in Salinas, California also showed his spectacular greens and we were delighted to catch up with him too.  Bravo to Jodean Robbins and Jim Prevor who are so dedicated to making this show a success every year.
