Must Have: Shrimp in Garlic Sauce!
Summertime....and the sangria is delicious!
At El Pote.
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and El Pote has been a Peachy's Pick since 2012: a decade.  It was last featured in in December 2021.  Take off your sunglasses and enjoy your sangria as it is the best you will find in Manhattan.
It would be practically criminal to sip on Sangria without ordering the signature Gaspacho in tandem!  It boasts incredible smoothness, bursting with flavor.  Though we adore Garlic Soup it is too hot to eat it in the humidity and we look forward to returning to it in colder weather.  Gambas al Ajillo might be Peachy's favorite phrase in Spanish!  It means Shrimp in Garlic Sauce and they indeed are exquisite and succulently delicious at El Pote.  It might be our favorite menu item ever.
Available at Brunch is the superlative Avocado Mango Salad.  It comes nicely dressed to the nines and is the ultimate in fresh.  The generous chunks of produce make us even more excited for the Produce Show which is only 5 months away!  More Spanish you ought to learn includes: Zarzuela de Mariscos which translates into a seafood combination in red sauce and you certainly want to say yes please add the lobster s'il vous plait:
El Pote means the Pot and this is the Pot you want!
From every angle it is beautiful and every bite is ecstasy of the sea.  Shrimp, scallops, lobster, clams and mussels will make your stomach sing Under the Sea and they gloriously luxuriate on quality Spanish yellow rice which is superb in its own right.  The sauce is also tantalizing as it is lobster bisque made fresh every day.
And of course it is served piping hot.
The service at El Pote is off-the-charts amazing.
If you are in a more carnivorous mood, go for the Entrecote!  Sirloin steak is broiled to perfection and is successfully accompanied by tasty creamed spinach, carrots and potato.  This is a meat-and-potatoes certified winner we say!  And, if you are new to us you ought to know we never edit pictures.  You excel like El Pote or we do not publish.  They really are this great and that is why they have been around since 1977.  A lot of places come and go in Manhattan but we are interested in the ones that MATTER AND STAY.  Of course have a nice Rioja with your steak-a total must.
With our sincere apologies to Miss Piggy, we also highly recommend the Milanesa de Cerdo, Pork Milaneses.  Pounded to an ideal thinness, this past oinker is nicely breaded and also is joined by that fantastic Spanish rice.  A friendly upscale venue, El Pote should be a regular on your personal dining circuit and is equally suitable for corporate affairs.
