Spring forward into glorious color by David Crandall of Stephen Knoll! It's 2024, and you know in January this stellar team earned their inaugural review. They have shown us they are not a one-trick pony and the results from our second visit are shown from every angle of Peachy's head, pictures unedited as always because the truth is, your haircolor will be gorgeous too, readers, when you visit.
Of course Stephen Knoll has created his own line of hair products, previously featured, and David Crandall has worked with Aloxxi, the brand-name European haircolor product, to create the haircolor he uses. Akin to when we review a restaurant and the owner might have his own wine label (Jesus at Alcala recently) or the owner has his own sauce (David Burke and his B1 sauce-why would you have A1 when you can have B1!), these guys create the product that is used on you.
The concept of having the professional work on the hair on your head who created the product from a scientific professional standpoint is incredibly superior to just any colorist, even if they have great results. The knowledge of this team is superior by this definition alone, and they use their smarts to make you showstopping gorgeous!

From every angle, the color is victorious from the single process to the intelligently, skillfully placed highlights around Peachy's head
Step one was banishing the roots. Obviously, roots happen if you are alive! We began with a single process with Aloxxi color that was created just for Peachy in a bespoke blend designed by David Crandall, who as we said helped create the Aloxxi line. Arrividerci Roots and Espresso Yourself were combined in an ideal density composed of permanent and demipermanent single process color. Once it was set, assistant Max Gonzalez washed it and dried it for the next step.
The precision with which David Crandall expertly places each foil is a sight to behold, out of the corner of your eye or looking in the mirror if it is done on you! David created this custom look of color with foil to make the highlights a bit brighter around Peachy's face, obeying her cardinal rule of no red! He painted on a mild lightener which gives superlative contrast as you can see evidenced by this series of pictures. After the highlights set, Max again washed Peachy's hair and styled it with a lovely classic blowout as shown.

Born in the peachiest state of all, Georgia, David Crandall grew up with midwestern values as his parents were from Michigan and with his father in the service, he had the opportunity to grow up in many geographic places. David Crandall's career in hair began in 1984 in New York where he began at La Coupe, and later went to Jon Guenter from 1984 to 1987. Then later in 1987, he joined Pierre Michel where he was until 1991 when he was the second employee of Stephen Knoll when the salon opened.
