The National Corvette Museum proudly welcomed the 2025 Corvette Hall of Fame class on Friday, August 29, as part of its 31st Anniversary Celebration. Kim Baker, Chuck Jordan, and Jim & Charley Robertson have officially joined the ranks of the Corvette Hall of Fame. Their names and stories now live on in the National Corvette Museum, home to the most influential figures in Corvette history.
This year’s induction also launched a new era of honoring Corvette legends with a fully reimagined Corvette Hall of Fame exhibition. Since its founding in 1998, the Corvette Hall of Fame has been the highest honor awarded to individuals whose impact has helped shape the legacy of Corvette. With only 89 members inducted over 27 years, the Hall of Fame represents the pinnacle of excellence across the Racing, General Motors/Chevrolet, and Enthusiast categories.
Meet the 2025 Inductees
Racing Category: Kim Baker – The C4 Era’s Endurance Powerhouse: Kim Baker cemented Corvette’s place in SCCA endurance racing history. After launching his career in Western Massachusetts, Baker founded Bakeracing and dominated the SCCA Endurance Championship with consecutive national titles in 1986 and 1987. As a former Corvette test driver and partner with Goodyear, Baker fine-tuned Corvette performance to unprecedented levels. So much so, his team’s dominance led to Corvette being banned from competition in 1988. Baker later helped test the ZR-1 and was part of the world-record-setting ZR-1 team with Tommy Morrison, making him a pivotal figure in C4 Corvette performance legacy.
GM/Chevrolet Category: Chuck Jordan – A Visionary Who Designed the Future: Chuck Jordan’s 43-year design career at General Motors began under Harley Earl and reached its peak when he became VP of Design in 1986. His contributions included Cadillac’s iconic tailfins, styling the 1958 Corvette, and a portfolio that influenced the first five Corvette generations. Jordan led GM’s design renaissance and influenced futuristic Corvette concepts like the Corvette Indy, CERV III, and Stingray III. Beyond his corporate legacy, Jordan’s passion endured through mentoring future designers after retirement. His impact on Corvette design continues to inspire innovation across the industry.
Enthusiast Category: Jim & Charley Robertson – The Heartbeat of Corvette Racing Fans: If you’ve been to a Corvette Racing paddock, you’ve likely seen Jim and Charley Robertson in action. Known for their energy, generosity, and behind-the-scenes support, this dynamic duo has helped build the Corvette Racing fan community from the ground up. From organizing pit tours to running auctions that support both the Museum and local charities, the Robertsons are a vital link between fans, team members, and the broader Corvette world. Their efforts have turned everyday fans into lifelong ambassadors of the brand.
New Exhibition Debuts: Corvette Hall of Fame Reimagined
The 2025 Corvette Hall of Fame class was welcomed with the debut of a reimagined Corvette Hall of Fame exhibition, a bold new way to celebrate the individuals who have shaped the history of America’s Sports Car. Designed to elevate the stories behind the legends, the refreshed exhibition features interactive displays, immersive storytelling, and rare historical artifacts.
One of the most significant highlights of the exhibition is the return of the only Corvette ever owned by Zora Arkus-Duntov, the “Godfather of Corvette.” Expertly preserved by the National Corvette Museum’s Collections team, the vehicle is now presented as part of the exhibition, allowing guests to connect more closely with Zora’s vision, engineering passion, and enduring influence on the brand. From early design breakthroughs to championship moments on the track, the Corvette Hall of Fame exhibition is designed to inspire every generation of Corvette enthusiasts.
About the Corvette Hall of Fame
Founded by the National Corvette Museum in 1998, 2025 marks the 27th anniversary of the esteemed award. Created to recognize the most influential individuals in the history of the Corvette and honor their achievements, nominees are selected by an anonymous panel of Corvette experts. A final group of 100 Corvette professionals makes up the Hall of Fame voting panel, which has inducted only 85 individuals since its inception.
