The Finish Line Is a World Where No One Dies of Breast Cancer

Susan G. Komen® Nationwide Fall Event Season Unites Communities to Fund Research, Improve Access to High-Quality Care and Save Lives; Andy Grammer to Headline Second Annual Party in Pink Gala on October 14th

Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced its fall calendar, bringing the Susan G. Komen 3-Day®, Race for the Cure® , MORE THAN PINK Walk® and signature fundraising events to communities across the country. At a time when someone in the U.S. dies from breast cancer every 12 minutes, these events will unite thousands of survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer, families, caregivers and supporters with one shared purpose: helping create a world where no one dies from breast cancer.

This is a critical moment in the history of the fight against breast cancer. Despite decades of progress, it remains one of the nation's most urgent health challenges. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and incidence is rising among women under age 50. Black women continue to face a nearly 40% higher breast cancer mortality rate than white women in the U.S., underscoring the urgent need to eliminate disparities in access to timely, high-quality care.

"We've made tremendous progress against breast cancer, but progress alone isn't enough when families continue to lose loved ones every day," said Victoria Smart, senior vice president of mission, Susan G. Komen. "Too many people still face barriers to timely, high-quality care, and metastatic breast cancers continue to take far too many lives. Together, we can change that by investing in research, expanding access to care and empowering more people to take action.”

As part of this year's event season, Komen is launching a bold new campaign encouraging Breast Honesty™ — empowering people to have open conversations about breast health, including understanding their personal risk of breast cancer, prioritizing recommended screenings and advocating for timely, high-quality breast care for everyone, because no one should die from breast cancer.

"Our determination to end breast cancer deaths is unwavering because we know it's possible," said Smart. "The research shows that with continued investment in science, equitable access to quality care and collective action, we can save more lives. Every person who registers, donates, volunteers or shows up at a Komen event helps fuel groundbreaking research, provides critical support for people facing breast cancer today and advance policies that improve access to care. Together, we have the power to create a future where no one dies from breast cancer.”

Andy Grammer Headlines Party in Pink

Multi-platinum, Emmy Award-winning artist and acclaimed songwriter Andy Grammer will be headlining the New York City Second Annual Party in Pink Gala on October 14. The gala is Komen's largest opportunity for corporate leaders and philanthropists to commit critical support for people facing breast cancer today and in the future. His performance comes just two days before the release of his sixth studio album, Big Stupid Heart.

“This event means so much to me because breast cancer awareness isn’t just a cause I care about, it’s deeply personal to me," Grammer said. "I lost my mother to it, and I know firsthand how much strength and hope can mean to the people facing this disease. I’m honored to perform at the Party in Pink Gala, with Susan G. Komen, in support of the women and families affected by this.”

Funds raised through the 2026 event season support Komen's comprehensive approach to ending breast cancer by advancing breakthrough research, providing critical patient support, advocating for equitable access to high-quality care and addressing disparities that impact outcomes. Since its founding, Komen has invested more than $3.5 billion in research, patient support and advocacy, contributing to more than 4,200 scientific discoveries. Komen-funded research has played a role in 31 of the 32 FDA-approved breast cancer drugs developed over the past 30 years and has supported more than 600 clinical trials.

The 2026 MORE THAN PINK Walk® and Race for the Cure® event series is made possible through the generous support of Bank of America, the National Presenting Sponsor; Natera, the National Premier Sponsor; and National Series Sponsors Daiichi Sankyo, Guardant Health, Lilly and Novartis. Their commitment, together with thousands of participants, volunteers and donors nationwide, helps drive Komen's mission to save lives by investing in groundbreaking research, supporting patients and advocating for equitable access to high-quality breast care.

Stand Up for Heroes, New York City’s highly anticipated night of hope, healing and laughter, presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a return to David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, November 9. The milestone show will feature special musical performances by Bruce Springsteen, The Resilient, and Alex Warren, and headline comedy sets from Josh Johnson, Hasan Minhaj, and Jon Stewart. The event is featured as part of the New York Comedy Festival, the largest and longest-running annual comedy festival in the United States, running November 6-15. The star-studded evening will also feature an unforgettable tribute to the people behind 20 years of on-stage stories at the center of each show. Stand Up for Heroes has raised $117 million for veterans, military families and caregivers since its inaugural show in 2007.

Stand Up for Heroes is brought to you by Bread Financial®, a tech-forward financial services company that provides simple, flexible payment, lending and saving solutions, and presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival. In addition to Bread Financial, Stand Up for Heroes is made possible by support from Craig Newmark Philanthropies, along with Navy Federal Credit Union, Car Donation Foundation, the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, HSBC, Citi, Barclays, BNP Paribas, DIRECTV, EMD Serono, the Barbara Bradley Baekgaard Family Foundation, the Ann G. and James B. Ritchey Foundation, The Walt Disney Company, Ernst & Young LLP, Moody’s, the National Hockey League, Man US Charitable Foundation, Assured Guaranty, CME Group, Mastercard, TD Securities, AmeriVet Securities, DTCC, Napier Park, Northmarq, Skadden, Sonepar, and Boies Schiller Flexner.

“Twenty years ago we put together Stand Up for Heroes with a simple idea: bring people together with laughter and music in honor of those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Bob Woodruff, ABC News Correspondent and Co-Founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. “When we started this way back in 2007 we thought it would just be a one-time concert. But it's become one of the most meaningful nights of the year. Think about that! Right there in the theater veterans and service members share the spotlight with unforgettable tributes by world-class performers. Those who come to the show will ensure that men and women serving today will not be left behind tomorrow. I look forward to taking the stage again as we celebrate how far we’ve come and as we renew our promise to always have the backs of the next generation of American heroes.”

New York Comedy Festival founders, Caroline Hirsch and Andrew Fox, were instrumental in creating Stand Up for Heroes, approaching the Woodruffs with the idea for an event supporting the Foundation’s mission. The event has helped to raise awareness of the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s mission with millions of Americans and fans of some of the world’s biggest stars. Stephen Colbert, Sheryl Crow, Jim Gaffigan, Shane Gillis, Whoopi Goldberg, Norah Jones, The Lumineers, John Mayer, John Mellencamp, Seth Meyers, Tracy Morgan, John Mulaney, Trevor Noah, Conan O’Brien, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jerry Seinfeld, and Robin Williams have taken to the Stand Up for Heroes stage at The Town Hall, Beacon Theatre, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Alice Tully Hall, and Lincoln Center.

“For 20 years, we have brought together the extraordinary worlds of comedy, music and the military community for one unforgettable night to honor those who have sacrificed so much,” said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival. “Stand Up for Heroes began with an idea we developed with Bob and Lee Woodruff, and what started as a single night has grown into a powerful and enduring tradition. We are incredibly proud of the event we created and everything we have built together over the past two decades, and as we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing to honor our heroes and share their stories for years to come.”

“A magical night in 2007 has turned into a can’t-miss event on the calendars of thousands of music and comedy fans committed to having the backs of the men and women who have ours,” said Anne Marie Dougherty, CEO of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. “The power of Bob and Lee’s story has inspired two decades of philanthropy by people who understand the cost of service and the responsibility we have to those keeping us safe around the world. No matter what is going on in the world, we remain a reliable backbone of support for our veterans and the military families and caregivers who make service possible. It’s our job now to chart that same steady course for the next generation of American heroes. Nights like this renew my hope in our country’s future and our ability to live up to the promise Bob made walking out of Bethesda Naval Hospital 20 years ago.”

“Bread Financial’s continued partnership with Stand Up for Heroes and the Bob Woodruff Foundation reflects our belief in building stronger communities through meaningful, sustained action,” said Ralph Andretta, president and chief executive officer of Bread Financial and a Bob Woodruff Foundation board member. “As this event marks its 20th anniversary, we recognize the veterans, service members and families whose service and sacrifice inspire its mission, while helping advance the resources, connection and care it helps bring to those who have served our country.”

#ChezPeachy #ItalyPeachyCeramics of Italy Announces Winners of the 2026 International Tile Competition International Jury Awards Four Winners and Five Honorable Mentions During Ceremony at Cersaie

Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency are proud to announce the winners of the 2026 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition. For the first time, the competition expanded its reach to firms worldwide, receiving an exceptional response from the international design community, with entries showcasing outstanding architectural and interior design projects featuring Italian ceramic and porcelain tile from Ceramics of Italy member brands.

As part of the "Building, Dwelling, Thinking" event program at Cersaie 2026, the award ceremony for the Ceramics of Italy International Tile Competition will take place on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:30 PM in "The Square" at the BolognaFiere Service Centre.

Organized annually by the Italian ceramic industry and Cersaie, the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition recognizes the world’s top projects that showcase the creativity, versatility, and performance of Italian ceramic surfaces across four categories: Commercial, Residential, Outdoor, and Design & New Applications. This year, the international jury evaluated an impressive number of entries, considering functionality, aesthetic appeal, sustainability, and the amount of Italian ceramic materials used as guiding criteria. The projects spanned across Australia, Canada, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The distinguished international jury was chaired by Steve Clem, Principal at Atlanta-based firm TVS, and included Alfonso Femia, architect, designer, founder and president of Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia; architect Donatella Bollani, who specializes in design, sustainability, and communication, and is the former deputy editor of Domus; and Filippo Manuzzi, Chairman of the Confindustria Ceramica Promotional Activities and Fairs Commission.

“Serving as chair of this year’s jury was an exciting opportunity to see the remarkable range of architectural and design work being created with Italian ceramic and porcelain tile around the world. The global expansion of the competition brought forward an impressive diversity of projects, demonstrating how ceramic surfaces can serve not just as finishes, but as integral elements of the architecture. The winners and honorable mentions reflect the creativity and innovation that continue to expand the possibilities of ceramic design.” – Steve Clem, Principal, TVS, and Chair of the 2026 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition Jury
The winner in the Residential category is “Spoonbill” in Manalapan, Florida (USA), designed by the studio 610 Interiors, which features tiles from Leonardo Ceramica and ABK. Overlooking a tranquil protected basin, the residence interprets contemporary luxury through a restrained architectural language and a refined minimalist sensibility. Conceived as gallery-like spaces, the interiors are unified by ivory and soft white ceramic surfaces that create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments. Its continuous dialogue with the waterfront and integration into the surrounding landscape define a living experience centered on well-being, where materials, light, and architecture come together in perfect balance.

The Commercial category winner is “Terradamari Resort & Spa Marina di Modica – Tapestry by Hilton” in Marina di Modica, Sicily (Italy) by Studio Chiara Caberlon. The project features tiles from Coem, Fioranese, and Ceramica Sant'Agostino. Within the luxury hospitality landscape, Terradamari Resort & Spa interprets relaxation and well-being through architecture deeply integrated into the Sicilian landscape. Designed by Chiara Caberlon, the resort offers expansive sea views and a design that, through ceramic surfaces, reinterprets traditional motifs and natural textures in a contemporary language. Sustainable materials and local solutions complete a project attentive to the environment, the local area, and people.

In the Outdoor category, the winner is "Villa Delago" in Torri del Benaco (Italy) by JM Architecture, which features the use of ceramic surfaces by Casalgrande Padana. Nestled on one of the natural terraces overlooking Lake Garda, the villa blends seamlessly into the landscape, preserving the site's century-old olive trees and cypress trees. The single-storey pavilion, organized around two generous courtyards, establishes a continuous dialogue with the outdoors through a wraparound portico, defined by a slender white aluminium structure that enhances the porcelain stoneware surfaces. The swimming pool follows the site's natural topography, while the roof – conceived as a fifth façade and clad in large-format ceramic slabs – emerges as one of the project's defining architectural features.

In the Design and New Applications category, the winner is "Icebergs Bar and Kitchen at Sydney Airport T3" in Sydney (Australia), designed by the Lazzarini Pickering Architetti studio using tiles from Franco Pecchioli Ceramica. The project brings the atmosphere of Bondi Beach’s iconic long lunches to the dynamic setting of Sydney Airport’s Terminal 3, offering travellers an immersive retreat within the constant flow of the terminal. Suspended forms, handcrafted glazed tiles from Tuscany and carefully orchestrated lighting evoke the colours and reflections of the Pacific. Ceramic surfaces, wrapping counters and monolithic tables, become the defining feature of the space. Sustainability is expressed through durable materials designed for intensive use and an energy-efficient lighting scheme that maximises the contribution of natural daylight.

The jury also selected five projects as Honorable Mentions.

The Residential category honorable mention is “Private Villa - Bay Hill” by Brooks Design Studio. The project, based in Orlando, Florida (USA), utilizes products by Ceramiche Keope. Designed to dissolve the boundary between indoors and outdoors, this luxury residence creates a seamless spatial continuity between the home's living spaces and its outdoor patios. Large-format ceramic surfaces in a soft grey tone, inspired by the understated elegance of concrete, establish a unified material language that enhances the dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Completing the project, glass mosaic-effect ceramic surfaces enrich the pool edge, reinterpreting the refined tradition of Italian mosaic craftsmanship through a contemporary design approach.

The honorable mention in the Commercial category is “AC Hotel Savannah Historic District” in Savannah, Georgia (USA). Designed by the firm Design Continuum, the project showcases tiles from Emilceramica, Florim, Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola, and Italgraniti. Overlooking the riverfront in Savannah's historic district, the AC Hotel Savannah Historic District interprets its port setting through a clean, contemporary interior design. The dialogue with the surrounding landscape – defined by cargo ships and shipping containers – is expressed through a refined material palette, where ceramic surfaces, warm wood tones, metals, and industrial-inspired materials create an elegant yet welcoming urban atmosphere. References to natural textures and the relationship with the river reflect a design approach rooted in sustainability, recognized with LEED Platinum certification.

The “The Atrium House” in Miami, Florida (USA) by the studio Space & Forms has received the honorable mention in the Outdoor category and uses products from Ceramiche Caesar products. This single-family residence reinterprets one of the most widespread housing typologies in the United States, striking a balance between tradition and contemporary design, openness to the landscape and domestic privacy. Travertine-effect porcelain stoneware façades interact with timber cladding to create an architectural language that is both understated and refined. The garden and swimming pool become the focal points of outdoor living, seamlessly connected to the interiors through expansive glazed openings and a green courtyard that extends into the heart of the home, enhancing natural daylight, cross ventilation, and overall living comfort.

In the Design and New Applications category, the first honorable mention goes to the “Towerhill House” project in Mono (Ontario, Canada), created by Studio Maggs with tiles from Ceramica Vogue, Laminam, Ragno, and Ceramiche Refin. Designed during the height of the pandemic, the residence was born from the clients’ desire to create a retreat of peace, privacy and freedom, in constant dialogue with the outdoors. The generous open-plan spaces are arranged around a central fireplace clad in 3D ceramic elements, while large glazed surfaces and direct connections to the landscape enhance the relationship with natural light throughout the day. A tactile palette of ceramic, wood, marble, steel and concrete defines warm and solid interiors. Porcelain stoneware surfaces, used for the kitchen worktops, backsplash and tables, ensure strength and durability, in harmony with a contemporary and comfortable design.

The second mention in the category is the "Staples Table" by London-based studio SMITHS, featuring slabs by Casalgrande Padana. Created as an interactive installation to present the potential of ceramics to London’s architectural community, the Staples table challenges a purely aesthetic view of porcelain stoneware by highlighting its strength and construction versatility. A single white, essential and tactile slab becomes a structural element through a sequence of self-supporting planes, assembled dry and held together solely by their own weight, without adhesives, silicones or mechanical fixings. Designed to be dismantled and reassembled, the system enhances the original slab format, avoiding unnecessary cuts while preserving its integrity and performance.

#NHLPeachy @NHL Announces Consolidation of Winnipeg Jets’ History

The National Hockey League announced today that the statistical history of the Winnipeg Jets now will include both iterations of the franchise. As a result, the Jets’ history now encompasses their first stint in Winnipeg (1979-96) as well as their years as the Atlanta Thrashers (1999-2011) and their seasons in Winnipeg since 2011-12.

The statistical history of the inactive Coyotes franchise only will encompass its years in Arizona (1996-2024) and therefore will not be included in the Jets’ history.

These changes are reflected in the statistical sections of NHL.com, the NHL app and the Jets’ official website.

“Statistics and records are more than numbers – they capture the milestones, achievements and memories that define the history of our game and the communities that support it,” said NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly. “We respect the Jets’ commitment to honoring their franchise’s journey and are pleased that the full history of NHL hockey in Winnipeg now can be celebrated as one continuous story.”

The consolidation of the Jets’ history results in changes to several franchise records, including new all-time leaders in goals (Dale Hawerchuk, 379), assists (Thomas Steen, 553) and points (Hawerchuk, 929). Current Jets forward Mark Scheifele (372-535—907), who previously was the franchise leader in goals and points and ranked second in assists, will have the chance to surpass all three marks in 2026-27.

These and other franchise records have been updated and can be followed via the Jets’ franchise section of Records.NHL.com.

“Today’s announcement is meaningful for our organization, our alumni and generations of Winnipeg Jets fans,” said Mark Chipman, Executive Chairman of True North Sports & Entertainment and the Winnipeg Jets. “The Jets teams from 1979 to 1996 helped build the identity and tradition that we proudly carry forward today. For our fans, these players and these moments always have been part of the same Winnipeg Jets story, and we’re pleased that our official records now will reflect that.”

The Jets are set to begin their 16th season in Winnipeg since relocating from Atlanta in 2011, joining the 17 campaigns the original Jets spent in the city after entering the NHL in 1979. They rank 10th in the League in regular season wins since 2011-12 (610), sit seventh in that category since 2016-17 (434) and led the NHL with 154 regular season victories during a three-year stretch from 2022-23 through 2024-25. The Jets additionally have made the Stanley Cup Playoffs in seven of the past nine seasons and will play host to one of the marquee events of the 2026-27 NHL campaign when they take on the Montreal Canadiens in the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg on Sunday, Oct. 25 (6 p.m. CT / 7 p.m. ET, SN, TVAS, TNT, truTV, HBO MAX).

#CruisingPeachy #WhomWeMiss @IndyCar Indianapolis 500 Folk Hero ‘Jigger’ Sirois Dies at 91

Leon Duray “Jigger” Sirois, who became part of Indianapolis 500 folklore by nearly earning an improbable pole for the 1969 race, died Sept. 23. He was 91.

Sirois, a native of Shelby, Indiana, made no starts in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” despite attempting to qualify every year from 1969-75. But his close call at earning the top starting spot in unique circumstances in May 1969 became a legendary story in the history of the world’s greatest race.

Midget car standout Sirois drew first in line to attempt to qualify on Pole Day, May 17, 1969, in the No. 14 Gerhardt-Offenhauser owned by California car dealer Myron Caves. After a long rain delay, Sirois entered the 2.5-mile oval late in the afternoon to make the first four-lap qualification attempt of the day.

His first three laps ranged between 160 and 162 mph, but Caves waved off the final lap of the run due to a perceived lack of speed, negating the run. Moments later, Arnie Knepper began his qualifying attempt, but rain began to fall during his warmup laps and continued, washing out all track activity for the rest of the weekend.

If Sirois’ final lap had not been waved off, he would have been the lone qualifier of the weekend and have sat on the coveted provisional pole for that week, perhaps even holding it through Bump Day the next weekend and starting the race from the top spot. Sirois’ second and third attempts the next weekend also were waved off due to lack of speed or mechanical problems, and he didn’t qualify for the race.

Qualification rules were changed in 1971 to guarantee all cars in line on the first day of qualifying at least one chance to make the field during the first round, ending any chance of another “Jigger” story.

Sirois continued to attempt to qualify for the “500” every year through 1975, including the sluggish Jack Adams Turbine in 1970. It was the last qualifying attempt ever for the Indianapolis 500 by a turbine-engine car. He was the second alternate for the 1974 race, falling just short of making the field.

The failure to qualify at Indianapolis belied Sirois’ skill at many levels of open-wheel racing.

Sirois failed to qualify for the five USAC Champ Car races he entered in 1967 driving for team owner Bob Cavanaugh. But he attracted strong attention from Indianapolis 500 car owners in 1968 after he was forced to withdraw from the inaugural USAC Champ Car race at Michigan International Speedway due to clutch failure while running as high as second in low-budget equipment.

He made 10 USAC Champ Car starts, with a best finish of fifth in 1969 at Phoenix. He also finished third – in a turbine-engine car – behind winner A.J. Foyt and Knepper in the rain-shortened Ted Horn Memorial USAC National Dirt Car Championship race in September 1972 at DuQuoin, Illinois.

Sirois enjoyed the most success in midgets, primarily racing around the Chicago area. He won four championships in 1961, including the UARA midget title. He was inducted into the National Midget Racing Hall of Fame in 2013.

One of the most popular veteran drivers, Sirois returned to IMS in May frequently to meet fans and media members, always well-liked for his geniality and courtesy. His sportsmanship surrounding the fateful decision to wave off his 1969 qualifying attempt – he never once blamed Caves or his crew – led the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association (AARWBA) to create the annual “Jigger Award” to honor the year’s “hard luck” driver during qualifying. Sirois was the first recipient in 1969.

Sirois was born into the sport. His father, Earl “Frenchy” Sirois, was a longtime Indianapolis 500 mechanic who worked on the winning cars of Lee Wallard, Sam Hanks and Jimmy Bryan during his 40-year career. Sirois was named after two-time “500” pole winner Leon Duray.

The legendary nickname “Jigger” referred to two-time Indy 500-winning riding mechanic Jigger Johnson, a family friend. Sirois’ older sister also called him by that name.

Sirois suffered from a stutter that began during a tornado scare near his hometown of Shelby when he was 3 years old. He began to manage his stutter in his mid-60s after receiving speech therapy and worked tirelessly to promote awareness and treatment of stuttering disorders in youth.

#CruisingPeachy #UpcomingDaylight #2027 #NYIAS2027 #NYAutoShow NEW YORK AUTO SHOW ANNOUNCES 2027 DATES

The New York International Auto Show is heading into its 127th year with strong momentum following a highly successful 2026 Show. The 2027 Show will take place March 26–April 4 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, with Media & Industry Days March 23–25.

America’s first auto show, which began in New York in 1900, continues to be one of the industry's most important places to connect automakers, media, dealers, and consumers.

The Show recently released its 2026 Auto Show Visitor Impact Report. The report found that 80% of visitors said attending the Show influenced their decision on their next vehicle, while 38% indicated that they plan to purchase or lease a new vehicle within 12 months. 42% of those 12-month purchase intenders added one or more brands to their consideration list.

In addition, 72% said the New York Auto Show was the only automotive event they had attended in the previous 12 months.

The Survey also confirmed that 92% of those who indicated that they planned to purchase a car in the next 12 months after visiting the Show did so! This information shows the importance of the New York Auto Show to car purchases.

Building on that momentum, the 2027 New York Auto Show is expected to deliver an expanded lineup of industry and consumer programs, including major new product announcements, a robust schedule of business-to-business events and new vehicle test-track experiences.

The Automotive Forum, a full-day B2B conference organized by J.D. Power, the Virginia-based National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), and the New York International Auto Show, will kick off the industry's pre-public days on Tuesday, March 23, followed by two days of media and industry programming featuring vehicle reveals, executive forums, industry insights, conferences and major automotive events.

The public Show will open Friday, March 26, with an expanded range of vehicles, technology, attractions and opportunities for consumers to get behind the wheel.

#InauguralReview #Giardino54 Since 2018 by #DorianGashi and #AndreaGiacomoni #400.5 West 54th Street at Ninth Avenue #Italian #HellsKitchen #Manhattan

Peachy's favorite: Bistecca con Patate!
The Ossobuco is also deserving of your attention, and Peachy sipped on a divine Vermentino
Considering all of the Italian cuisine we've had over the last seventeen years, it is arguably the most difficult to earn an inaugural review if you are an Italian restaurant.
However, if you are Dorian Gashi and Andrea Giacomoni, who have previously earned accolades for Medi earlier this year and Blue ages ago, it should come as no surprise that this unassuming superstar in Hell's Kitchen has come out on top.  We were greeted by the amazing General Manager Pedro and worked closely with Dorian throughout the review on the phone.  If you own more than one place and we have met you in person and your cuisine and you have proven yourself, Peachy will talk to you on the phone during a review.  Right down to the fresh bread, Giardino is an undiscovered gem in Hell's Kitchen you all must flock to.  We began with a gorgeous Burrata Caprese: creamy mozzarella partying with seasonal tomatoes and fresh basil and we reveled in the classic high-quality simplicity.
From every angle, the Carpaccio di Manzo is a beacon of refreshment with the succulent Beef Tenderloin sliced so superbly thin.  Brilliant mushrooms accentuate its royal intrinsic flavor while arugula brightens it and parmesan again confirms that cheese indeed makes everything better.  Giardino 54 is on West 54th Street, hence the 54 in the name.  Its number address is four hundred and a half.
Giardino means garden, and there are five salad choices.  We narrowed it down to Insalata di Cesare: Kale Caesar Salad and we particularly rejoiced in the real anchovies.  Note we nearly always want the dressing on the side however with Caesar, if we have been convinced firsthand prior to our visit that we think you know what you are doing with the salad dressing (not drowning the salad!) we will order it dressed.  It was perfection.
The pasta selection is all high-performance: Risotto ai Funghi is ideal for an overcast day because it will make the sun come out on your tastebuds.  The nuanced depth of flavor is fabulously laudable and the extra cheese elevates the experience.  Giardino's menu is Italian in general, not a specific region and they focus on homemade high quality cuisine.  Lasagna all'Emiliana is a divine classic beef ragu Lasagna that is not only beautifully presented as you see below, and note we never edit pictures: you excel like Dorian and Andrea or we do not publish, but also is a wonderfully layered bastion of goodness evocative of the Giardino 54 creativity.
The Bistecca con Patate is absolutely the King of the Mountain of the menu in our humble opinion.  The succulent eight ounce skirt steak is absolutely commanding of your attention with the premium chimichurri sauce, the best we have had anywhere at all in 2026.  This sauce is rarely done this well across the board, and the pictures indicate its greatness.  Wait until you taste it.  It also was perfectly medium rare as ordered by the Picky One who has published the 31,000 posts and counting.  Also, as she has resided in Ireland she is a potato expert, and the mashed fingerling potatoes playing hide and seek with you are also totally up to snuff.
Sides at Giardino are spectacular, namely the Roasted Brussel Sprouts which up the dinner festivities any time of year.  Of course, over the years if you have ravishing deep strong Italian red, we are all about it however, on a hot day we have an eye out for Vermentino and Giardino 54 hit the high note:

If you are a pescatarian, you should get excited for the Branzino al Limone: Filet of Branzino in an intoxicatingly inviting caper-lemon sauce that confirms its freshness.  Sauteed Broccoli Rabe ups the color and nutrition with panache.
And because Giardino 54 is in it to win it, Pedro suggested two other dishes we also loved and that we believe will also captivate all the other carnivorously-inclined.
Meet Costine di Bue: Braised Short Ribs, so tender!, over spicy soft polenta:
Pictures speak louder than words, readers!
Unedited of course!
...and Ossobuco alla Milanese!
This veal shank dish is only at the most competitive Italian venues and over saffron risotto, it will completely win you over.  Also say hello to the super friendly professional Hugo, busboy who has a great attitude and work ethic.  Make one of their 50 seats yours in this enclosed garden.
The final firework: Polipo e Patate: Seared Octopus which is perfectly tender and not at all overdone or underdone, Fingerling Potatoes, Oven-dried Plum Tomatoes, Parsley, Scallions and just the right touch of Garlic Vinaigrette further evidence why Giardino 54 is no ordinary Italian place: it's extraordinary.
Octopus Glamour Shots!
Of course, save room for Tiramisu, a fantastic rendition!

Giardino 54 impressed us on our first visit and we can't wait to see what they do next.
