NIGHTLIGHT: Whom You Know's Peachy Deegan Visits Hot Spots on Fashion's Night Out! (in Manhattan, of course!)

On September 10, 2009 over 800 New York City retailers participated in Fashion's Night Out-the largest citywide shopping event NYC has ever had. Whom You Know thought this was like trick-or-treating for adults with champagne rather than candy-although we did see quite a bit of candy at the Cole Haan store...and others. Peachy Deegan wore the Whom You Know Dress of the week by Tibi:

And the Whom You Know Brave the Cold coat also by Tibi:

Peachy received so many complements and passed them all along to Amy Smilovic! There are only 4 days and 5.5 hours until the Tibi show.

Although we would have liked to have visited every one, logistically it was impossible and much to Stacy London's dismay when we saw her at Ann Taylor, by the end of the night Peachy was happily exhausted in her sneakers to hit the last few- if only we could cart our Nespresso machine around with us too, but already we were carrying our computer! This night was a genius idea by Anna Wintour, one of our favorites, and a Mover and Shaker on Whom You Know:

Our day began with the fabulous Tiffany Koury show:

and was followed by the equally fabulous Chadwick Bell show:

Then after posting a couple of articles, the Whom You Know team visited Clinique at Bloomingdale’s:

The Harmonie Club hosted the CEW Newsmaker Forum with Liz Smith: "Strategies and Success with Liz Smith" - a conversation between CEW's Chairwoman, Jill Scalmandre and Liz Smith, Preisdent of Avon Products. Georg Jenson had a fabulous new collection to show us (more to come from Georg Jenson!) and then Whom You Know's team visited the Ivanka Trump boutique which we look forward to featuring in Rock Your Body!

We swung by Cole Haan and were so happy to meet Lisa and see all of the fabulous new Maria Sharapova designs again, including this week's shoe of the week:

Then we checked out Fratelli Rossetti and were happy to see Karen at Stuart Weitzman-so many fabulous shoes at so many shops! Lovely to see Kelly at Montblanc which is doing so much for Unicef.

Next Peachy Deegan stopped at Christian Dior and were so pleased to chat with Pamela Baxter who we look forward to featuring as a Mover and Shaker! We loved having Bil Donovan, artist of Dior, do our watercolor last year, and he was one of our first Movers and Shakers.

Van Cleef and Arpels had a lovely soiree as did Bergdorf Goodman, who were inundated with crowds-5th and 57th was the heaviest pedestrian traffic area we saw all night. Next was Tiffany's where we channeled our inner Audrey:

Then we headed to Saks to try the latest from La Mer and meet Alexandra, one of our most favorite skin care experts. We think some of their latest are fabulous, including the concealer, and we're going to bring you more on them shortly! Next on our list was Lacoste which Peachy Deegan has been wearing since childhood and truly has classic looks. We visited Patrick McMullen at Lord and Taylor, and also checked out DKNY -that crowd was partying up a storm by the time we arrived! Later in the night we stopped by Ann Taylor where we met Michelle and Stacy London-next time Peachy will be wearing her heels, Stacy! The evening was not complete without seeing the latest from Valentino and finally arriving at Jo Malone where Jennifer graciously showed us the latest and we had our last glass of champagne of the evening.

Peachy Deegan made it to twenty today! This could be a record. She would have liked to have gone to everything but we think we would have horrified Stacy London even more if we were wearing our rollerblades. We loved seeing all that we saw!

Anna Wintour thought of it last winter-she is so smart! London, Paris, Moscow and China we have heard also participated in the Global Fashion Night Out! Check out Whom You Know's Take a Trip to London column for coverage there.
