Terrific Takeout: Luna Rossa!

Peachy Deegan cannot walk by a new restaurant without noticing it.  Especially if it is a cute little Italian place on the Upper East side.  Open only 4 months so far, Luna Rossa is a hit in Terrific Takeout.  Peachy does try to be moderately healthy, and she doubled up on vegetables and she is glad she did!  The sauteed spinach with garlic olive oil tasted like it was direct from heaven, and that's not just for our rabbit audience.  Delightfully flavored and also quite good for you, this makes an excellent side for any meal.
The insalata dello Chef was arranged so beautifully we hated to muss it up and eat it.  Fresh hearts of palm nested in each corner forming the foundation for this winner.  Chopped young greens, avocado, roasted peppers in contrasting colors all joined the salad party and they put the dressing on the side, just as Peachy asked.  Tomatoes and celery were also part of this herbivore extravaganza.

One thing that Peachy Deegan talks about quite a lot is the legendary lobster spaghetti at Serafina, so when we heard that Luna Rossa had spaghetti with lobster as a special, we wonder if they knew she'd be calling.  Meant to be, this lobster just as he was becoming acquainted with Peachy, was exquisitely devoured and that was that.  She absolutely loved him, in her stomach of course.
If Katy Perry was here she'd say the Tartufo di Fragole e Cioccolato al Cacao was a Firework.  The Homemade Tartufo made of strawberries and chocolate wrapped in cocoa powder was an absolute dream.  One of the best desserts we've encountered!  Surely this is not the last time we'll be talking about Bruno DiCarlo's latest hit-he formerly managed Baronda.
