READ THIS: Eloise In Paris by Kay Thompson Illustrated by Hilary Knight

You know Eloise is just fahbulous dahling in Hollywood:

And The Ultimate Eloise is simply tops:

And Eloise at Christmas time cooled us off in August:

and so did Eloise in Moscow:

Now it's time for her to display her savoir faire in the land of it...and she's even taught Peachy Deegan a new exercise: lifting champagne bottles!  We absolutely just cannot get enough of Eloise and her escapades are at their very best in Paris!  You will simply adore it, and the Petite Peachy Panel rave rave raves:
If you think Eloise knows how to annoy adults at the Plaza, you have not even scratched the surface. Precocious Eloise, is in rawther rare form as she stars in her own book, Eloise in Paris! Her fabulously torturous ways hits a hotel and the streets of gay Paris. Nothing is more fun than reading how Eloise prepares for her latest trip. Of course, she must tell everyone at the Plaza that she was leaving for PARIS. Over packing has taken on a new meaning. And flying first class has no better passenger. From sidewalk cafes to the Louvre, Eloise takes it all in as only she can. Eloise is a legend in Manhattan and now her social status has increased as she owns the streets of Paris.

Oooh la la! So many fun things to explore in Paris! This has to be my favorite Eloise book. This is my favorite book to read out loud to my class, too. I always try to say the French words in a French accent and it gets me and my students laughing. It also helps with vocabulary lessons. We try to learn some French and study France as a country, too. We get so many writing projects about France and Eloise, we usually have to stop to move on. Eloise inspires to to do our very best! We love Paris, now, thanks to Eloise.

Pack pack pack your bags! Eloise is headed for Paris, France! After receiving a cablegram from her mother, Eloise, Nanny, Skipperdee and Weenie get their passports, pack their bags (all 37 of them!) and head to Paris! Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight traveled to Paris to research the book which was first published in 1957. "Eloise in Paris" is fun fun fun! My four year old and I loved reading this book together! We laughed, we gasped ("She hit the doctor, mom? That's naughty!"), we enjoyed! Yes, Eloise is precocious, no doubt, but she is so entertaining, you can't help but love her! Hilary Knight's detailed illustrations of famous Paris landmarks are fabulous and are quite eye-catching. Adults and children alike will enjoy traveling to Paris with New York's most infamous little six year old! Je t'aime Eloise!

Eloise in Paris! What city could possible hold a place in our hearts to even compare to New York? Paris, of course! Even Eloise knows this! In Eloise in Paris my daughter's and I love the incurably precocious youngster's wide eyed view of the city if lights. Who doesn't want to take a Parisian adventure? And best of all we learn all sorts of information -- i.e. you obviously need to pack everything! So pack your bags and bon voyage (be sure to pack your best Dior dress)! NB -- Parents I suggest you get started enjoying your favorite champagne before you start reading this. You will need the corks to make some lovely necklaces. This is a family fav here (for all the obvious reasons)!
