Terrific Takeout: Ze Cafe

Tucked away on East 52nd Street, Ze Cafe is a winner of a find. And look at how attractive their takeout boxes are! You know we are totally into customization and monogramming and that lovely Z that seals the deal was not lost on Peachy Deegan.
A special of the night that we sampled as an appetizer was the risotto with fenneled salami and aged swiss cheese, and accented with roasted peppers that added a superb flavor. If this is a special the night you order, you'd better jump on it.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful salad than the Wild Blossom Salad by Ze Cafe. In the hundreds of salads we have previously chronicled, we are quite confident that Peachy was not munching on flowers in any of them, but there is a first time for everything...and they went well with the greens and tomatoes.
And the flowers were delicious! Fresh and crunchy, and obviously edible, dressed in a champagne vinaigrette these were the perfect fashionable end to fashion week itself.
The crowning jewel of the meal was by far the Pan Roasted Meyer Farm Ribeye, with outstanding smashed bliss potatoes that Peachy still dreams about-they were the first things gone from the plate, haricot vert, veal demi. Every succulent bite of this ribeye will melt in your mouth and you will know that the best steaks in Manhattan do not necessarily come from steakhouses...Ze Cafe is Terrific Takeout and we highly recommend it!
