It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW we keep telling you, and now we are pleased to know Broadway Joe's.

Broadway Joe's was first featured in Tasty Tidbits:
We're pleased to announce it has advanced to Peachy's Picks!
It's more than just a throwback to old Hollywood glamour just past Times Square...it's a fantastic little spot where you can get a delicious meal among those that made history-read our Tasty Tidbits to find out more from their site.  They have been in the movies FBI Story and Sweet Charity, and their food is just terrific.  Owner Luciano and his son James were gracious and our waiters Fernando and Alan did a great job.  Peachy Deegan began with the fresh green salad, above.  Dressed lightly, this nutritious start was highlighted by the shredded carrots.

Of course when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Broadway Joe's IS a steakhouse, so Peachy tried the Rib Eye Steak 18 oz of Certified Angus Beef to be exact!  You know when the bone is left in the steak it is said to add more flavor, which is why we leaned towards this option.
Here it is a little closer smiling for the camera:
It was exactly as juicy and delicious as you'd like a steak to be and it is exactly what you should order too if you are a carnivore like Peachy.  We dined in the back dining room which even has a charming fireplace:

Peachy sipped on an outstanding 2007 Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon, and you know we are on quite the Mondavi kick:

The asparagus gratinee was simply delectable and even if you think you do not like asparagus the cheese that is pleasantly perched above it will astound your senses.  This is a side dish not to be ignored!  The asparagus was crispy and cooked just the way it should be.  We also sampled teh Lyonnaise Potatoes and onions which absolutely hit the spot and are an ideal compliment to steak or most anything you'd want to order.

Peachy has not met a chocolate mousse quite as decadent as this hot little number in ages and let us assure you it is as rich and delicious as it looks!
Our esteemed panelist adds:
Located in midtown Manhattan near the theatre district this gem of a restaurant has been in business for more than 50 years and over 150 celebrities including Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack and New York Jets legend, “Broadway” Joe Namath (who got his famous nickname for frequenting the eaterie) were regulars. He has a Cesar Salad and Prime Rib Entrée named after him.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and the back area has a working fireplace which instantly transports you out of Manhattan and into somebody’s home in the suburbs. There is a reasonably price fixed menu, plenty of specials and numerous menu options.

I ordered a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and the seafood lived up to its billing. The shrimp was fresh and the cocktail sauce was tasty. The crushed ice in the middle of the large glass kept the shrimp chilled to perfection.

I ordered a Robert Mondavi Chardonnay to accompany my Chicken Parmesan. That entrée comes with a fresh vegetable medley that comes neatly wrapped and it’s all edible. The Chicken was pounded to perfection and the cheese was perfectly melted. The wine really accentuated the meal and it was smooth like every Mondavi wine I’ve ever sampled.
As a side dish I had some Asaparagus Gratinee, which had a nice helping of Parmesan cheese melted on it. Also the Lyonnaise Potatoes and Onions was to die for.

The onions were sautéed to perfection and the fresh cut potatoes melted in your mouth. For dessert,
I had their exceptional Big Apple Crumb Pie. I had the option to heat it or go a la mode but I got it heated and I was glad that I did. The crust held up and the layers of warm apple were terrific.
All in all this was a great dining experience.
