Opened in June 2013, Vinus and Marc is a new Upper East side hotspot cocktail bar created by our new friend Frank.  Located on Second Avenue between 94th and 95th, it has with reinvented prohibition-era cocktails and seafood-centric cuisine in a charming setting.  We began with the superlatively fresh Pan Roasted Chicken Salad.
Attractively arranged, the Chicken Salad was accentuated by the chicken, marinated with our favorite flavors of rosemary and garlic.  Coming to the garden party on your plate are avocado, cherry tomatos, croutons, greens and Ms. I Don't Normally Like Salad Dressing did like the house-made creamy Caesar.
The Meat Plate is one serious meat plate as you can see.  We love the carnivorous ambition of Vinus and Mark!  Every item was entirely fresh which is of course key to meats.  Prociutto di San Daniele, Jamon Serrano, Salami, Spanish Chorizo, Sopressata and Lomo Encebollado were a proper extravaganza and this appetizer, though classified as a small plate, is one we believe you should share if you want to fit into that cocktail dress you'll wear to Vinus and Marc.  By the way in case you did not take Latin, Vinus means wine and Marc means spirit in Latin.
As an entree, we opted for the Louisiana Crawfish with Lobster Roll-the contents were phenomenal.  We reveled in the butter-poached crawfish, lobster and dijonnaise.
Vinus and Marc is Terrific Takeout!
