FASHION WEEK 2009: Women with Heart Slipped into Designer Red Dresses


The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection 2009 Fashion Show

WHAT: The Heart Truth rolled out the red carpet for women with heart, who united with America’s top designers and showcased a collection of one-of-a-kind Red Dresses. The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection 2009 Fashion Show spotlights a fashionable cause—raising awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of women.

The Red Dress Collection 2009 was made possible by presenting sponsor Diet Coke; national sponsors Swarovski and Johnson & Johnson; and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

WHO: The Heart Truth, a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease, sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Red Dress, introduced by the NHLBI in 2002, is the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness.
