New York, NY – February 13, 2009 – On February 6th, Louis Vuitton, the
world’s leading luxury brand, opened a newly expanded boutique at
Bloomingdale’s 59th Street. Louis Vuitton at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street
has
doubled in size, and will now house women’s shoes in addition to an array
of leather goods from its traditional and innovative collections, as well
as sunglasses, fashion jewelry, belts, and textiles.

“We are excited to expand our long-standing location at Bloomingdale’s 59th
Street,” said Daniel Lalonde, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton North
America.
“Louis Vuitton has had a strong partnership with Bloomingdale’s
since 1995, and we have been looking forward to growing our footprint at
the New York flagship for several years.”

“Bloomingdale’s partnership with Louis Vuitton has always resulted in
ground-breaking new ideas, and this new shop at 59th Street is no
exception,” said Michael Gould, Chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s. “We
are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers, and
Louis Vuitton was the ideal partner for this thrilling new boutique.”

Louis Vuitton is located in a prominent position at the entrance of
Bloomingdale’s 59th Street. The store has doubled in size and is now nearly
3,900 square feet. The new façade will feature a two-story high Louis
Vuitton Monogram pattern with an ever-changing light display, the first of
its kind in the United States. Inside the store there are three levels with
a dedicated women’s area debuting women’s shoes, a men’s area and a “Louis
Vuitton bag bar”. The additional space and distinct men’s and women’s areas
facilitate a larger offering of leathergoods and accessories. The store
will now have one entrance on the street level and one on the main floor of
Bloomingdale’s, allowing visitors to shop across all three levels of Louis
Vuitton.

A worldwide leader in luxury since 1854, Louis Vuitton has become
synonymous with the art of elegant travel. Its leather goods are renowned
throughout the world for ultimate quality, craftsmanship, innovation and
stylish luxury. From 1997, with the arrival of Marc Jacobs as artistic
director, it has extended its range to women and men prêt-à-porter, shoes,
watches and jewelry. Louis Vuitton has an exclusive network of 426 wholly
owned stores in 59 countries around the world. It has been a member of
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the greatest and most successful luxury
goods group worldwide since 1987.
