SPOTLIGHT ON SAFETY: JENNY SURVIVED AN ATTACK BY A CLIPBOARD NAZI

A clipboard Nazi, a term coined by Toby Young in his book "How To Lose Friends and Alienate People" (see review below), is one that holds an exclusive guest list on a clipboard at the door of an event and guards it with their life and stops at nothing to harass those not on it even if they legitimately should be allowed in. Poor Jenny is now a veteran of an attack by a clipboard Nazi-and has lived to tell her tale!

Peachy: Set the scene for us Jenny
Jenny: After using the small narrow individual coed restroom with no mirror or barely any room for women to squat, I was attempting to return to our suite. The hallway by the bar by near the suites was packed.

P: How did the attack begin?
J: Clipboard Nazi was flirting with some dude that didn't look like he would give her the time or day. I said excuse me & tried to squeeze in between them to get to our suite. I didn't have room to walk around them.

Clipboard Nazi didn't hear me so I had to say excuse me a 2nd time. Note that she is shorter than me.

Clipboard Nazi spins around and hit my chest with her clipboard by accident. Or was it an accident? Besides being attacked by the clipboard, her pen poked my platinum necklace. WTF??!!

P: What weapons of defense were you armed with?
J: I had no weapons with me. I usually don't carry any.
Well sometimes I can fit a machete in my purse.

P: Were there any apologies issued by the Clipboard Nazi? Is she sending giftbags?
J: Clipboard Nazi is not sending gift bags. She only apologized once but didn't seem to be sincere.

P: What kind of therapy are you going through to deal with this trauma?
J: I'm not seeking therapy. Need to find a job 1st!!

P: What will you do in the future to avoid such drama, or is it a fact of life?
J: This drama is not a fact of life. I'm not used to being attacked by Clipboard Nazi.

P: Advice for those that suffer such an attack?
J: Don't sweat the small stuff. Walk away. It's not a big deal.

Jenny we are glad you survived! Manners, everyone!!!
