NIGHTLIGHT: Clarins Introduces NEW: Multi-Active Day

The day before the official launch of Clarins' Multi-Active Day skin care line, the team at Clarins (led by Blair Crames & Amy Pellicane in Clarins Public Relations) invited Whom You Know and a score of other influencers up to the Clarins USA headquarters to learn more about this new line. Clarins has taken a new approach with this particular launch by reaching out to its target customers via social media, in addition to their standard print advertisements. How smart of them! Peachy Deegan just loves Clarins and this new line makes her want to get up out of bed and write posts even earlier!

This social media strategy is actually quite befitting, as the target age group for Multi-Active Day is the 25-40 year old woman who is young-ish, but yet also worried about the appearance of her first lines and wrinkles, a woman who is busy, active, dynamic, connected, on-the-go and happy. To illustrate this, Clarins screened its first-ever music video, the subject being a busy and energetic young woman going thru the motions of a typical day from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep, and in between is everything from work, hobbies, exercise, meals, fun, friends, play, relaxing, etc..

A good tool to have with you in the midst of living this very full life is the Multi-Active Day and Clarins' wonderful range of skincare items. Bringing all this together, clarins gave us a demonstration of their signature Skin Time Facial Treatment. A very lucky stand-in model was chosen to sit thru and demonstrate for us how the skin gets cleaned and prepped with the right personalized treatments picked out just for that particular skin type. It was so Spa Peachy. The demonstration was very informative and yet incredibly relaxing. Even though we weren't the ones receiving the treatment, it was just as relaxing being the observer (maybe next time!). A bonus was that we were educated on the proper way to apply moisturizer: always use gentle pressure to pat and press it in, to never rub, tug and pull, as over time, this will cause wrinkles too. This application method was actually developed by none other than the founder of Clarins himself, Mr. Jacque Courtin-Clarins. All in all, it was an excellent presentation by the Clarins team, a takeway we received from this launch event, in addition to the priceless lesson on proper
