JURA-CAPRESSO ENA LINE: WORLD’S SLIMMEST BEAN-TO-CUP COFFEE CENTERS WITH SMART ENERGY-SAVING FEATURES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY WHOM YOU KNOW

We first told you about the history behind this amazing company last week:
http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/03/company-history-jura-capresso-inc-whom.html
Now looking forward, this is not the coffeemaker of generations past, it is the one of the future and you can have it today.  We have over 100  posts in Gotham Gadgets, and after using the Ena 3 by Jura-Capresso for many days we must say we would not be without it.  It simply is the best coffee maker money can buy as far as we can tell, and we have done our research.  Why?  The quality of coffee it produces combined with the infinite variety of options it presents you with are unparalleled.  Jura-Capresso, the innovation leader in automatic coffee centers, presents the ENA line of super compact models that offer a true bean-to-cup experience, with single button operation and environmentally friendly features to save energy.  The Swiss-made collection also offers high style and advanced features.  It even comes with an instructional DVD that is like a movie, and we've watched it twice.

You can have your coffee mild, normal or strong.  You can have its temperature normal or high.  You can make cappuccino or lattes with the Dual Frother Plus or the Frothxpress System.  You can have milk especially hot.  You can have hot chocolate and cafe mocha.  You can have hot water, tea, cafe americano and you can program all of this with fabulous dial.  We have never seen coffee so bespoke and Peachy Deegan is wondering when the designers on Madison Avenue are going to give her this many options!

Not to mention you can adjust how finely or coarsely you'd like your coffee beans ground...and the machine is absolutely beautiful.  It will be the shining star in your kitchen accessory lineup.

Today’s consumer will appreciate the ecological intelligence of the new design, with innovative technology to help save energy.  When turning the ENA off, the patent-pending Smart Zero Energy Button lets the machine finish any beverage already in progress and then completely disconnects from the electrical outlet, using no energy whatsoever.  We also love how it is super clean, and rinses out before and after each cup.

For additional energy savings, the machine can be switched to Energy Save Standby Mode in situations where it is used infrequently.  This reduces power consumption up to 40 percent.   How Earthy Peachy!

Less than 9½ inches wide (23.8 cm.), the compact design can fit in lofts or smaller kitchens where space is at a premium.  We love this in Manhattan, because we have no space here!  We will make the space for the ENA.  It is the world’s slimmest model, acting as a coffeemaker, espresso/cappuccino machine and conical burr grinder to free up space on the countertop while offering the incomparable flavor of high-pressure-brewed crema coffee and espresso-based drinks.

A new multi-color clear text display makes this model easier to use and understand.  The alphanumeric text appears on a green background when the machine is coffee-ready.  The display changes to red when an action is required, and to yellow when the machine is in programming mode.

An easy-to-use rotary dial with a built-in push button on the top of the machine is all that is needed to brew the best in crema coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, ristretto or more.  Programming the ENA is easy and intuitive.   Although the movie and instruction book are quite informative and tell you all that can be done, and we do recommend watching and reading them, we must say the intelligent design of the ENA makes these machines completely intuitive to use.  In the instruction book we love the fact list on coffee and the "never" [do this] list.  And the digital display can be shown in many languages which makes it internationally indisposable.

The user can navigate through programming mode or the automatic cleaning and maintenance programs guided by the text display, using the rotary dial and the programming button concealed behind an elegant panel.

The ENA models are the first in the Jura-Capresso line to feature a see-through bean chamber visible on top of the machine, romancing the beauty of fresh coffee beans.  A built-in five-level conical burr grinder grinds the beans right before brewing for optimal taste.  This high-performance grinder can be adjusted for regular or oily beans from fine to coarse simply by turning the chrome adjustment ring while the grinder is running.  ENA machines can also brew pre-ground coffee to cater to those who prefer decaffeinated or other specialty coffee blends.

Like all Jura-Capresso models, the ENA collection features the patented variable-volume brewing unit, which ideally prepares between 1 and 16 ounces of coffee.  A height-adjustable spout allows the user to maximize crema and prevents splashing by keeping the spout close to the cup.

Another standard Jura-Capresso feature is the unique connector system that lets the user select the frother of choice.  With the frothXpress System, frothing and steaming milk for lattes and cappuccinos is completely automatic cup after cup.  With the Dual Frother Plus, the user can froth milk in the traditional way by injecting steam into a pitcher of milk.

Because fresh, pure water is an essential element of great coffee taste, the new ENA models feature the CLEARYL Plus Water Filter that removes impurities and reduces scale deposits in heating elements.  This filter can transform hard tap water into water that is pH-neutral balanced so it will not disrupt coffee flavor.

The ENA 5 is first with a unique height-adjustable spout that rotates 180 degrees, giving the user the choice of brewing through a single or dual coffee spout.  It is also the only model in the ENA line that comes with two frothing systems: the Dual Frother Plus for traditional frothing by injecting steam into a pitcher of milk, and the frothXpress Plus System, which automatically froths or steams milk into the cup.

“ENA” means “number one” in Greek, for the number one choice for anyone who wants the ultimate in a compact model.  The line includes the ENA 3 in Ristretto Black and Blossom White and the ENA 4 in rich metallic Platinum with Ristretto Black accents and the ENA 5 in Chrome and rich metallic Platinum with Ristretto Black, Blossom White or Coffee Cherry Red.

Highly Recommended by Whom You Know, the Jura-Capresso ENA collection has an actual retail price range from $899 to $1,199. For more information, visit www.capresso.com.

Hot steam is released immediately. Steam output is continuous. Just turn the selector switch back to stop the steam output. Need more steam? The ENA keeps the steam mode for 40 seconds after the last steam action. Steam away as much as you want.
The Dual Frother Plus is fast and easy to use. With two settings for latte (steaming milk) and cappuccino (steaming and frothing milk). Click on the video clip to see the frother in action.

frothXpress System (standard with ENA 5)*
The frothXpress system helps you to prepare perfect cappuccinos and lattes cup after cup. It automatically siphons milk from any milk container, combines it with hot steam and delivers hot, frothed milk into your cappuccino cups. Turn the dial of the frothXpress to the latte setting and the frothXpress will deliver hot steamed milk with very little or no froth for that delicious latte.
The frothXpress system lets you fill cup after cup with your preferred amount of hot steamed or frothed milk. The result: always the same taste and no more wasted milk!
Fill as many cups as you want then add your shot of espresso and serve identical lattes or cappuccinos.
Temperature control! For that extra hot Cappuccino or Latte move the frothXpress dial from the "-" setting towards the "+" setting to increase the temperature of the milk.

*The frothXpress system can be purchased separately for the ENA 3 and ENA 4 models.

How Things Work

Zero Energy Button / Special Energy Saving Mode Programming
The ENA has a patent pending Zero Energy On/Off button. In the off position no electricity whatsoever enters the machine. It’s like you unplugged the machine. In programming you can select from a special ENERGY saving mode. In this mode the ENA switches to a lower stand-by temperature ten minutes after you made your last coffee, thus using less electricity. If you want another cup of coffee an hour later the ENA heats up for a few seconds and then is ready to brew your cup of coffee.

Programming
The ENA displays READY in green. Open the small cover behind the Rotary Dial and push and hold the P button until the display shows RINSE. The LCD display has now changed to yellow. Turn the Rotary Dial and select the setting you want to change. For details see the operating instructions. When you have changed the setting turn the Rotary Dial until the display shows EXIT and push the Rotary dial. The display shows READY and has changed the color to green.

Thermal milk containers (sold separately)

The thermal milk containers keep milk cold. No need to run back and forth to the refrigerator. Jura-Capresso offers active and passive thermal milk containers.
