Salon Peachy: When You Want to Be Stunning on a Saturday, Go To Francky L'Official For One of the Best Blow-Outs in Manhattan!
What do Snooki from MTV's Jersey Shore and Peachy Deegan have in common? You must be at a loss...Snooki is from New Jersey. Peachy is from Connecticut. From what we understand, Snooki goes to the gym complete in makeup. Peachy thinks the gym is power-shopping Madison Avenue. Peachy is fairly intellectual and although we haven't met her, we aren't sure that Snooki is. What could they possibly share? Fabulous hair by Franky L'Official! Franky is one of the hottest stylists around, and if you are in search of a new look for spring he is great at makeovers....just look at Snooki tweeting the photo of her brand new hair.
Although quite chilly, it was a lovely day on the Upper East side. As New York transitions into spring, we Manhattanites need some TLC in our hairstyles, and what could be better than a great new style by Franky? Peachy Deegan could not think of one thing better! We first met Franky this week at his opening soiree:
We knew it was fabulous because we consider ourselves in the know especially when it comes to the upper east side, but when we heard today that 95% of those RSVP'ed attended and that 120 people crowded into the spacious salon, we knew we had significant stats to tell you about.
After such a lovely event, we had to try the services for ourselves. The mane event for Peachy today began with Eva who amazingly washed Peachy's hair to prepare it for the big blow-out. Although Eva is not a stylist now, she aspires to be one, and with a staff of 25 Francky L'Official's talent runs deep. Details matter here and we love that. Francky is dedicated to quality, and is an artistic genius as everyone that has seen Peachy today since she left the salon can attest to. Originally studying in Medical School, Francky later decided it would be hair he'd pursue and every person in Manhattan is quite lucky for that now.
Early in his career, Francky L'Official joined renowned coiffure Jacques Dessange as Artistic Manager to his Paris salons. Educating Dessange stylists throughout the city, Francky made a name for himself developing creative teams of stylists to take part in the conception and creative design of fashion events. After overseeingmany fashion shows, Francky was awarded the prestigious Mondial Hair Show award.
The salon itself is beautiful in black and white. We love the geometrical nature and amazing sunlight that filters into the salon. The sun is such a treat in March after the horrid winter! In the back where you get your nails done, the sunlight is fabulously generous, perking up your attitude as the polish dries. In the front of the salon, what could be better than looking out the window checking out Madison Avenue while Francky makes you even more beautiful? The music is upbeat, the staff is friendly, and it is immaculately clean, most of all which is tres imporant!
This will not be the only time you see Francky in Salon Peachy-the story of the blow-out is only the first. After carefully combing her hair, Francky divided it into sections and was quite the magician. With a hairdryer as a wand, Francky executed his command of the cylinder brush to give maximum body to quite a lot of hair. From the bottom to the top sections, each strand was properly blown out, giving Peachy's hair more bounce and excitement than Madison Square Garden would have if the Rangers make it into the playoffs.
Layer upon layer looked better and better as the style took shape from getting dry to the curling iron expertise. Not only is Francky excellent at giving your hair the style it needs, but his vision for how it should look to how it will look when he is complete is perfect! Peachy just told Francky to do what he thought would look good. In his first chance, he was right...this was our first visit to Francky. We even had the chance to practice our French a bit because of course Francky is from Paris. Mademoiselle Marie-Claire Charton (Peachy's professeur de francais quand Peachy dans l'ecole) would be pleased that our brain has not turned into a complete tossed salad with our vocabulaire! Peachy looks forward to working with Francky again!
Not only does her hair look like she should be on the cover of a magazine thanks to Francky L'Official, but also Peachy's nails are superb. Victoria Tolmasov, a ten-year veteran of nails, did the perfect pedicure and a magnificent manicure. As we all get ready to bare our feet for the strappy sandals of spring and summer, a pedicure by Victoria is exactly what you need. Your feet will soak, your toenails will be trimmed, your cuticles will be pushed back or trimmed, and much more! Your piggies will be scrubbed and polished until they shine like they should be in the window at Tiffany's and your fingernails will get the same treatment. Victoria is extremely diligent and careful and that will show on your nails! Equally fabulous is the massaging chair that lets you choose a bespoke massage during your pedicure.
