CHAMPAGNE WISHES: ORIGINALE VENTURA LIMONCELLO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY WHOM YOU KNOW

The Ventura Limoncello Company was formed by James Carling and Manuela Zaretti-Carling in March, 2007, with the goal of being the premier Limoncello producer in America.  We at Whom You Know believe they've reached their goal.  Created in Ventura, CA, using Manuela’s 3-generation Italian family recipe and lemons grown in Ventura County, CA, they produce it in the handcrafted (hand wash/peel) style as performed along the Amalfi Coast in Italy. It is all natural with no added color or added flavor and they work directly with local growers and only use tree-ripened fruit. 

They produce two styles of Limoncello: Originale and Crema.   Whom You Know tried the Originale and its crisp, clear, refreshing lemon taste is the perfect finish to any meal.  In addition to being a traditional after dinner liqueur, Ventura Limoncello’s products have proven to be excellent cocktail mixers and ingredients in cooking. 

Their cocktails grace many signature cocktail lists and we have had several “Chef Dinners” where the chef has used Ventura Limoncello as an ingredient in every course (4-6 courses) and paired Ventura Limoncello inspired cocktails. 

Ventura Limoncello has been on the market just over 2 years, and it has made its way cross-country to Manhattan!  They have been America’s highest rated Limoncello 3-years in a row (SFWSC), and have earned the Platinum Medal at the 2009 LA SIP Awards and the Gold Medal at the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. They scored 95 in Just Wine Points and 92 in The Tasting Panel magazine (Dec. 2008). They've been awarded Silver and Bronze medals in other competitions.
