Tasty Tidbits: The Garden Cafe at The Helmsley Park Lane Hotel

In Europe, unlike America, in cities often you find quaint neighborhood alleyways that lead you to cute little shops and fabulous restaurants.  In New York, not so much...

However, recently as Peachy Deegan was scouting around looking for wonderful subjects to tell you about, she was on Central Park South and she spotted such an alleyway.  It lead to the Garden Cafe, which opened in May at The Helmsley Park Lane hotel and it even has jazz on Fridays.  Even better, the jazz is not loud.  We hate loud music when we are eating.  This jazz is perfectly pleasant and allows you to have civilized conversation with your dining party.

Manager and Hostess Fidana Zegiri is friendly, and she pays attention to details, bringing candles to light in the lanterns, and lighting them up before it even became dark.  The space is intimate with ten tables, a friendly atmosphere, and a european feel that is needed in Manhattan.  Starters, sandwiches and more are available, and of course we gave it the crabcake test-they passed!  Basia Kozak will delight you with her excellent waitressing skills.  Not on the street, clean, and near Central Park, this has the looks of a winner.  Whom You Know looks forward to formally reviewing The Garden Cafe at The Helmsley Park Lane Hotel.
