100 days of the BP Oil Disaster... Help Ensure Global Green Can Continue to Respond

Earthy Peachy learned of Global Green through our friends at Pureology:

July 28th – will mark the 100th day since BP’s Deepwater Horizon exploded and the horrific oil disaster began in the Gulf Coast. You can help Global Green today by committing your support to our 100x100 campaign – a $100 donation to mark 100 days. While we do not know if the temporary cap will continue to hold back the deluge of oil or if the relief wells will be successful, we do know the worst environmental disaster in US history will have an impact on lives, livelihoods, and the ecosystem for years to come.

Over the last few months, Global Green has been working hard to respond to the Gulf oil crisis by:

Thanks to citizens like you, Global Green has been able to mobilize on all of these fronts, but there is so much more we need to urgently do in the NEXT 100 days.  Sadly, it will take far longer than 100 days to cleanup the oil spill but we must continue the hard work to ensure full clean up and restitution while investing in a cleaner, greener future for the Gulf Coast.

I am asking each of you to join us –
you can give $100 today, or divide it into quarterly or monthly payments – to help us continue our work in response.

As you know,  Global Green mobilized just after Hurricane Katrina to help New Orleans rebuild better and greener. We have made great progress, and will be helping to mark the 5th year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with some exciting announcements I will share with you in a few weeks.
With your support, we can redouble our commitment to transform the Gulf Coast into the Green Coast. And we can help the hard working Americans in the region to lead our nation toward a cleaner, greener future.
Thanks so much.
