NIGHTLIGHT: Andy Roddick and John McEnroe Thrilled Crowd on Randall’s Island Last Night and Helped Make Randall’s Island Sports Foundation’s Night of Tennis & Cocktails for Young Professionals a Success

The Young Professionals Council of Randall’s Island Sports Foundation, Inc. held a Night of Tennis & Cocktails on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. The event, which drew over 160 guests, featured a World TeamTennis match between the NY Sportimes staring John McEnroe and the Philadelphia Freedoms staring Andy Roddick. The NY Sportimes were victorious. On top of experiencing great tennis in a intimate stadium, those who attended were also treated to an open bar with specialty Belvedere Vodka cocktails, a light gourmet dinner and Belvedere gift bags. On a special note, Council members Brielle Caruso and Christine Maselbas got the privilege of kicking-off the match by returning Roddick and McEnroe’s “first serve” of the evening on center court before over 1,500 tennis fans.
