FIRST-EVER INDUSTRY LEADERS PANEL TO BE HELD AT 2010 HBA GLOBAL EXPO Personal Care Industry Executives to Provide “Insights from the Top” At HBA’s Marketing & Technical Conference Program

For the first-time in the beauty and personal care business, six leading executives will assemble for an extraordinary panel as part of HBA’s Marketing & Technical Conference. The program will be held during this year’s HBA Global Expo & Conference (www.hbaexpo.com), September 28-30, at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.  HBA Global is the leading product development event for the cosmetics, fragrance, personal care and skin care industry.

This high caliber panel is entitled: INSIGHTS FROM THE TOP: Looking Ahead to Innovation and Growth Challenges and will be held on Wednesday, September 29, from 9:00am-10:30am.  These current industry leaders will reveal the foreseeable issues and viable opportunities that will help create and shape the future of the beauty and personal care industry.   Participating in this esteemed panel are Christian Bardin, President, CBA Associates; Craig Frischling, President, Lipo Chemicals, Inc.; Kevin Gallagher, President,Croda, Inc.; John Van Hulle, President, Global Color Additives and Inks, PolyOne; and Karen Young, CEO, The Young Group.

On all three days of the conference, HBA’s technical program will also offer additional educational sessions which are designed to give practical strategies and innovative ideas to keep industry professionals on the cutting-edge.   Supporting the Technical conference program at HBA Global is a sold-out Ingredients & Technology exhibit area on the show floor.  Companies exhibiting in this area includeSederma, Laboratoires Serobiologiques, Accutech, Intertek Consumer Goods, MG America, Campo Research and France Naturals as well as some new exhibitors to HBA Global including Amazon Forest Botanicals, Chemspeed Technologies, Coptis, Jedwards and Monoi USA.

Other technical sessions at HBA Global includes “COSMETICAL BIOCHEMISTRY: A Surface Treatment Approach to the Wide Range of Skin of Color” on Tuesday, September 28th featuring leading doctors, dermatologists and scientists from Clinique, Weill Cornell College, St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, and The Estee Lauder Companies, providing an in-depth understanding of the emerging science of Cosmeticals, a vital element in the development of products that make the skin look and feel healthy on all consumers. Tuesday’s program will also showcase the sessions “SKIN SCIENCE AND HEALTH DATA: Generating Believable, Accurate Claims;” and “NOVEL DELIVERY SYSTEMS.”

In addition to the panel event, Wednesday’s program includes sessions, such as “THE ANTI-AGING PATH: Where No One Has Gone Before;”  “SKIN CARE DEVICES;” and “NEW DIRECTIONS IN SKIN AND HAIR CARE FORMULATION.”  With the release of the final monograph for sunscreens in the US imminent, representatives from Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, BASF, Integrated Botantical Technologies and Dow Chemical will also address skin cancer, the ideal sunscreen, testing protocols and the regulatory issues confronting formulators and users of sunscreen alike in “SUNSCREENS: A MINI-SYMPOSIUM.”

Thursday’s lineup will be presented by companies, such as DSM Nutritional Products, The Polla Beauty Group, Croda Inc., ISP Corporation, Sederma, and Better Life, who will speak at sessions entitled “HAIR CARE WORKSHOP: Scalp-Hair System Health, Part 1 & 2;” “THE NATURAL AND ORGANICS TREND CONTINUES;” and “SKIN AGING PREVENTION.”
