Peachy's Pantry: Are you ready for Monday? Make Sure You Have Energy this Week with the Energy Kitchen!

Not every day is Champagne and Filet Mignon, and as you know from Tasty Tidbits and Peachy's Picks, we love formal restaurants and exquisite food.  Excellent food even greeted us in Peachy Ahoy last week.  But we would not be able to be closing in on 5,000 posts if we spent 3 hours every night eating dinner, so today Peachy Deegan was smart: she headed to the Energy Kitchen.  We totally are not about cheap, we completely are not into fast food, and you should understand this is a nice place with good food that maximizes your health and your time.  Not that Peachy has ever been on a diet or counted calories, but if you are it is nice to know that the Energy Kitchen has a calorie count on everything.

This is way out of her comfort zone.  She is a J.G. Melon enthusiast who usually eats nothing but real hamburger, and she also only eats real ice cream, drinks real soda - you get the idea- she is not into imitation anything.  Obviously, she does not do this every day or she would not fit into the amazing Donna Ricco dresses.

The Energy Kitchen offers a fast, healthy solution to being hungry!  Peachy swung by the Upper East Side location at 1628 2nd avenue where she was professionally greeted by manager Tyrone Bond and his associate Anthony Lebron.  This was a pop quiz for The Energy Kitchen by Whom You Know...

Perfectly pleasant, the team gave Peachy some alternative suggestions for her beef inclination and as she is predisposed to anything associated with hockey, she decided on the Bison Steakhouse Burger.  Bison are from Canada...and it was quite good!  Peachy never ate a bison before but she will eat one again!  Next time maybe with Champagne...  Cooked perfectly and joined by sauteed mushrooms and onions with steak sauce, the Energy Kitchen got it right.  Continuing along the healthy theme, she also ordered the Kitchen Chopped Salad which was perfectly fresh, and since she abhors blue cheese, they replaced it with mozzarella just for Peachy.  She kind of expects this substitution in a formal setting but it is nice to know they are good about it in take out too....she even tried the creamed spinach as a tiny sample on a spoon and she liked that too.  Yay Energy Kitchen!  We are glad we found you because now Peachy can face Monday.  She needed the Energy.

By the way we hear they have monthly deals...
