Peachy Ahoy: Say Prost with Peachy! World Yacht Hosts New York’s First Annual Oktoberfest on the Hudson! Make Sure You Put Some Oktober in Your September Next Year because the Yacht Critics of Whom You Know Predict the Second Will Be Equally Fabulous!

For you non-Germans out there, Prost means Cheers in German...and on the 200th Anniversary of Oktoberfest there were shouts of Prost!  everywhere from the Pier to the decks of World Yacht today at the First Annual Oktoberfest on the Hudson!  Octoberfest is the way Peachy Deegan would spell it, because that way it looks like it's proper English, but Oktoberfest is not a day for sipping Champagne with your pinky out, which we did on World Yacht last time.  It is FUN to mix it up a bit, and there's nothing like a beer garden on the Hudson to start off your fall right, especially when it involves World Yacht, a brand of distinction that we have highly recommended:

http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/07/peachy-ahoy-whom-you-know-highly.html.  This Oktoberfest was so festive and invigorating it rivaled some of the best tailgates the Yacht Critics have been to, and these referenced tailgates are none too shabby.

We are so excited to tell you about the versatility of World Yacht!  Jonah of World Yacht is absolutely brilliant to have inaugurated such a concept and to see it in action was quite something.  Today's crowd was incredibly diverse, attracting young and old, German and non-German, and all equally enthusiastic about the amazing idea World Yacht had to transform a pier that has had less exciting days into a Oktoberfest wonderland!  Peachy Deegan is only sorry she didn't get an Oktoberfest German girl outfit!  The Yacht critics of Whom You Know expanded their World Yacht repertoire today to include this more informal gathering on the pier, followed by a fabulous yacht cruise!  The most authentic German beers, hard to find anywhere else in New York, such as Gaffel Kolsch, Hofbrau, Jever, Radeberger and Weihenstephan were on tap; and Weihenstephan Korbinian, Weihenstephan Vitus, and Augustiner Maximator were available by the bottle. Whom You Know sampled them all, and we look forward to releasing our formal opinion in Champagne Wishes at a later date!  We enjoyed meeting Gregory Weinberg of Paulaner and we look forward to working with him (Best of luck to you and your wife, and upcoming congratulations!)  Normally a Guinness girl in terms of beer, Peachy was pleased as punch with the selection and the authenticity of the festivities was unsurpassed.   With with sounds from the German Oompah Band, New York’s Spitzbuam, and Bratworsts galore, not a detail was left out.  We tried the Chicken Bratworst, the Jalepeno Bratworst and the Cheddar Bratworst and all were perfect complements to the ale..Kristin, you looked great in your Oktoberfest outfit!

World Yacht was joined by sponsors German-American Steuben Parade, popchips, NYC Daily Deals, and Street Sweets for New York’s First Annual Oktoberfest on the Hudson.   And although Peachy lies and says she is all Irish, the truth is she is German too and today was so excited to celebrate it on World Yacht!  Whom You Know highly recommends Oktoberfest on World Yacht!  We've heard that the Empire State Building will be dressed in German colors from September 24-26 which will be a gorgeous view from a World Yacht cruise, and next week is the parade:

Do not miss the Chinese Moon Festival coming up on World Yacht:
