Rock Your Body in Boston with the French Trade Commission!

This autumn the French Trade Commission-UBIFRANCE is thrilled to premier the traveling trunk show and exhibition opened to the public and trade at a high-end jewelry destination: Dorfman Jewelers, 24 Newbury Street, Boston, Massachusetts from Tuesday October 5th to Thursday, October 7th 2010 – 617 536 2022 – from 11 am to 6 pm.

Eight collections showing the brilliance of French jewelry including Marchak, who found fame in the US during the early 1930s, is re-launching their brand with exquisite cocktail rings; Edéenne, one of the most talented designers in the new generation of French jewelers and is currently developing her brand internationally at a fast pace (She will be exhibiting in June 2011 at the Museum of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco); Mathon, founded 30 years ago in the Palais Royal neighborhood – the birthplace of the finest French jewelry houses and currently sold at 3 Neiman Marcus stores including Orlando, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Newport Beach, CA.

Dorfman Jewelers will host 3 evening special events, (by invitation only):

- A presentation of the history of French jewelry by Yvonne Markowitz, the distinguished jewelry curator of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston illustrated by Van Cleef & Arpels Estate Jewelry presented by Nicolas Luchsinger, Estate Jewelry Manager of Van Cleef & Arpels on TuesdayOctober 5, from 5 to 6 pm.  Immediately followed at 6 pm, a grand “Vernissage” Opening, with the presence of Consul General de France in Boston, Monsieur Christophe Guilhou.

- A Chef tasting by “Relais & Châteaux” on Wednesday, October 6 with the cuisine of Chef Jonathan Cambra of Castle Hill Inn, Newport.

- A Grand Cru wine tasting on Thursday, October 7

All evening events are from 6:00 to 9:00 pm
