Cindy Klotz has been in the commercial baking business for over 20 years and it shows in these bites.  Obviously, practice makes perfect.  Cindy now produces these 2 vegan product lines.  Peachy Deegan saw them recently at Whole Foods, so she contacted Cindy to find out more.  It is a known fact that Peachy Deegan first received literary acclaim as a sportswriter, and the athletes she hung out with at Boston College definitely had table manners akin to the Cookie Monster, her favorite Sesame Street character.  No wonder why she liked them.  What a far cry from sit-down dinner at Miss Porter's!  We may have an Etiquette from Connecticut column, but this is one more time when when just had to be to be the cookie monster.   We love the bites just as much as the cookies, and the panel raves:

Having recently enjoyed some Essential Vegan Cookies, I decided to try The Essential Bites, also made by Cindy Klotz Productions.  These handy size Bites are also 100% vegan and are made with all natural ingredients.
I have become a label reader and was surprised to see that the main ingredient in all five of the Bites that I tried was dates. Dates have been a staple food of the Middle East for thousands of years and have a multitude of health benefits associated with them.
I started my "research" of The Essential Bites with the Banana Chip Oat, very tasty.  I then went on to the Cranberry Raisin Oat, lots of good stuff in that one.  Then things got serious, the Chocolate Chip Oat was next on my list, my favorite chocolate chips, a winner.
How can it get any better I asked myself, how about the Chunky Chip Peanut Oat, that had the chocolate/peanut butter thing going on here folks.
For the finale, the Chocolate Chip Oat Fudge, talk about a chocolate lovers healthy alternative, yummy!
These Bites are the perfect bite size, not too small, not too big.  I had some friends over the other evening and had a bowl of all five Bite selections mixed together.  Everyone ended up having at least one of each and were raving about the great taste.  Try some, you will not be disappointed.
There was a saying years ago, "Stay healthy, eat your honey", now we can update that and say "Stay healthy, eat your dates."

Yep, definitely really like this woman.  The cookies were great, I think these bites may be even better!
After being pleasantly surprised by how good the line of The Essential Cookie from Cindy Klotz Productions is, they out-did themselves with The Essential Bite.  For someone who dabbles in the occasional vegan meal and treat, I've wavered on most vegan fare because I find the taste and texture compromised and lacking, but Cindy Klotz Productions' line of treats is definitely the exception.  The Essential Bite line is, well, essentially a share-able version of The Essential Cookie, they come packaged in a container and are in small bite-sizes.  Oats are a key ingredient in all 5 flavors: Chocolate Chip Oat Fudge, Chunky chip Peanut Oat, Cranberry Raisin Oat, Chocolate Chip Oat, and Banana Chip Oat, hence they all have this wonderful chewy texture.  The texture is actually very reminiscent of one of my favorite treats, coconut macaroons.  Coconut is actually one of the ingredients in The Essential Bite line.  It's hard to believe this is a totally vegan line and every ingredient is all natural.  I can't wait to see what Cindy Klotz Productions come out with next!

I was first introduced to Cindy Klotz The Essential cookie a few weeks back.  A born skeptic, I was very surprised that a vegan cookie could taste so good.  Even my mother-in-law, who thinks she can cook, clean, bake and raise children better than anyone else took the time to inquire where we had bought the cookies.  The next Cindy Klotz product I tried was the Essential Bite, also 100% vegan.  The Essential bite is exactly what it claims to be - a bite-size treat that looks like a scoop of cookie dough.  You can see the all the oats cranberry chocolate chips in every one.  As it turns out, the "vegan" aspect of these bites is exactly what makes them the perfect snack in my house.  My daughter is allergic to eggs and dairy, and these are the most delicious, allergy-friendly snacks we've found.  Of course, the Peanut Bite is my favorite and she's allergic to nuts, too, but I just keep those at the office.  At three, my daughter already realizes that the stuff we usually try to pawn off as "delicious treats" is really sub-par.  She's never had the "real thing" but she's not so impressed by the substitutes we've offered.  Now that she's tried the Essentials by Cindy Klotz, though, she's loving snack time and the variety we can offer.  These are the perfect size for her mid day snack.  She loves the Chocolate chip oat fudge bite and the chocolate chip oat bite.  She, like her father, loves the chocolate.  My wife likes the cranberry raisin oat bite.  We all have our favorites, but we also like every flavor.  I am happy for my daughter that people like Cindy Klotz have come up with delicious healthy snacks so my daughter does not feel left out at snack or lunch time.
