Champagne Wishes: Created by Mover and Shaker Raj Bhakta, WhistlePig Whiskey Highly Recommended by Whom You Know-It is Just What You Need In Manhattan to Make Your Manhattan Says Peachy Deegan!

WHISTLEPIG WHISKEY IS WHAT YOU NEED IN MANHATTAN FOR YOUR MANHATTAN SAYS WHOM YOU KNOW!!!

It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we presume that that is what was taught in the English classes at The Hill School as well because Raj ended up at Boston College in Peachy Deegan's class.  Raj was one of our first Movers and Shakers two years ago:

Here is his latest and greatest!  WhistlePig Whiskey is located on one of the oldest farms in Vermont. Cultivation began here in the early 19th century in what was then known as the hamlet Shaksboro. Steam engines replaced the lifeblood of the town – a grist and lumber mill powered by the Lemon Fair River - which still meanders through farm - and the town slowly dissipated until vanishing entirely in the 1930’s. The farm remained in operation until 2006 when it was purchased and renamed by WhistlePig’s founder Raj Peter Bhakta. WhistlePig Farm is being loving restored, a slow and painstaking process, to undertake the noble task of producing the finest whiskies in the world.  Mauve and Mortimer are the mascot pigs; however, if Peachy was consulted on the names she would have named them Mauve and Swifty because Swifty's is the new Mortimer's.

WhistlePig’s Master Distiller, Dave Pickerell, a luminary in the world of whiskey, is one of the nation’s preeminent master distillers. Before joining WhistlePig, Dave spent 14 years in crafting Maker's Mark in Loretto, Kentucky.  We are huge enthusiasts of New England at Whom You Know, so we believe he made the right move.  Mr. Pickerell’s is creating his magnum opus, the WhistlePig distillery. To this end, we are proud to report that our first whiskey, a 10 year old 100 percent rye whiskey, was awarded by Wine Enthusiast its“highest ever” rating for rye whiskey.
Mauve has quite the fan following...

WhistlePig “100/100” is a 100 proof, 100 percent rye whiskey, aged for at least ten years in new American oak barrels. It was released in the summer of 2010 to great critical acclaim is has received numerous distinctions such as the “highest ever” designation from Wine Enthusiast and “highest recomendation” from the Spirits Journal. These extraordinary honors “humble and set a high bar” for Master Distiller Dave Pickerell who spent over a year on an exhaustive search of North America for the best rye whiskey in the world. Dave feels that “100/100” embodies the perfect combination of proof, purity, and age -- hitting what he calls "the sweet spot" in all three categories. WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey is hand bottled at the WhistlePig Farm Distillery in Shoreham, Vermont and is available in a limited quantity.
Peachy Deegan's grandparents had an affinity for Manhattans, and as a child she was always given the cherry out of them so no wonder she grew up to be an alcohol critic!  She still loves the cherries in the Manhattans and she's glad she can drink them now too, and she loves them best with WhistlePig Whiskey.   We highly recommend it!
