NIGHTLIGHT: Young Collectors Night at The Winter Antiques Show, Benefiting the East Side House Settlement

On Thursday, January 27th 2011, East Side House Settlement hosted Young Collectors Night at The Winter Antiques Show. Held at the Park Avenue Armory, the show featured many of the world’s most influential antique dealers in the United States and Europe. The event Co-Chairs were Courtney Booth and Emily Israel. The Vice Chairs were Valerie and Brad Aston, Alexandra Buckley Voris, Stephanie and Frederick Clark, Kipton Cronkite, Britt and Cristin DeVeer, Elizabeth Meigher, Billy Nacey, Anika Yael Natori, Allyson and Chris Pachios, Tatiana G.P. Perkin, Marie Rentschler, and Caroline Rowley.  Elizabeth Meigher had the best dress of the night and we were pleased to meet her in person.  Mover and Shaker Jennifer Dixon attended with Peachy Deegan, and they both wore Hunter Dixon.

We are totally into collecting at Whom You Know and cover it most frequently in Advantageous Auctions, featuring Bonhams and Sotheby's most frequently.  The Winter Antiques show gives us another opportunity to keep up with antiquing and collecting and we love it!  The evening offered a private viewing of America’s most prestigious antiques show to enthusiasts of art, antiques, and interior design.  Our favorite item was the chandelier in Liz O'Brien; it doesn't hurt her that she's Irish and of course we have fully disclosed our Chandelier obsession in Chandelier Peachy.   Sponsored by New York magazine and Elie Tahari, the night provided guests with the opportunity to meet New York magazine’s Design Editor and Chairwoman of the Interior Design Committee, Wendy Goodman, along with 45 of the country’s most illustrious designers.

Over 650 guests and leaders from the art, interior design and fashion worlds mingled amongst the sensational art and antiques, with proceeds going to benefit East Side House Settlements vital work in the South Bronx.
