Champagne Wishes: Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils Sancerre Les Belles Vignes Highly Recommended by Whom You Know

As we ease into spring temperatures and longer days, I find myself looking forward to a cool, refreshing glass of white wine at the end of a long day.  Thanks to Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils Sancerre Les Belles Vignes, I have a new winner to add to my short list of go-to spring and summer wines!  I received this wine in the midst of a particularly challenging week.  Happily, within a few sips, it had already begun to work its magic!  Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, this wine was delightfully crisp and invigorating.  It had a bright, bold taste, full of the earthy minerality that one associates with Sauvignon Blanc.  Additionally, it had a sweet, fruity finish, making it a perfect wine for a lovely spring evening.  I picked up hints of grapefruit and berry, which made the wine a great complement to the cheese with which I paired it.  The extra-smooth finish added to my enjoyment of this delicious vintage.  Thank you, Domaine Fournier, for such a fantastic addition to my list of favorite wines!

I'm not much of a white wine person, but will try anything once.  I was so glad I tried the Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils.  If I hadn't, I would've missed out on a great wine.  It had a nice aroma and flavor of citrus.  I enjoyed it chilled better than at room temperature.  I paired it with a chicken and rice dinner I had made and it complemented it perfectly.  I can't wait to enjoy this wine again.  When I order more, I plan to order a few to keep in my wine cabinet.  I also plan to take some to friends houses now that we are planning to have more outdoor parties.  It would also make a wonderful housewarming gift as well.

We reviewed the Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils Sauvignon Blanc this week.  What a delightful (and affordable) wine!  This lovely dry white proved an excellent addition to our meal.  From the salad to the linguini with clam sauce, the Fournier was a perfect choice.  The bright citrus flavor is delicious.  And its crisp, clean finish kept it from overpowering the dishes.  This easy drinking wine should be on your list of staples for the pantry.  Sure to please, this wine is best when shared.  Consider it a great conversation starter, as well.  The Fourniers are a French wine-making dynasty.  Just the name Pere et Fils (father and sons,) makes one feel a part of some grand family tree.  Enjoy the wine, enjoy the conversation, and have an extra bottle of Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils Sauvignon Blanc on hand, just in case.

Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils wine is excellent! It's a beautiful golden color. It has a nice light aroma. I can smell the hints of perfume and lime. I love to match this wine with cheese and cured meats. I love having this wine any day of the week. It really pops in my mouth. I love how the dry sweet taste lingers in my mouth. I honestly can't get enough of this wine. Get out there and enjoy a bottle today!

Claude Fournier is the 9th generation of his family to make wine. His wife, Eliane, is the 13th. After many years of hard work Domaine Fournier is now one of the most important estates in Sancerre.

The family has worked tirelessly to produce top quality wines; combining family winemaking traditions with advanced facilities including custom made tanks and a modern winery design that incorporates hand sorting of the grapes and the use of gravity to ensure delicate treatment of the must (juice). Over the last 50 years they have grown the Fournier Estate from their father's 13 acres to 222 acres in Sancerre, Pouilly Fume and Menetou Salon.
