Well, now you need to know about Peachy's latest experience at The Cutler Salon.  It's not who you know, it's whom you know, and we all know that by now.  We always look forward to our next visit to The Cutler Salon, and we were even thinking about it during our jaunt with Paolo Secondo at I Tre Merli http://www.whomyouknow.com/2011/08/peachy-picks-i-tre-merli.html because it is right next door to Cutler downtown.  Rodney tells us he likes the pizza there! You also know Peachy is an uptown girl though so her favorite Cutler location is on West 57th Street just down the sidewalk from Bergdorf Goodman.  When you enter, everyone is so friendly you almost think you're not in the push and shove of New York, but then again Rodney himself is a friendly Australian so he sets the tone for sunny professionalism that pervades the mood of the salon.  The Cutler Salon is bright, airy and upbeat and they even have lemonade to sip on in the summer which Peachy sipped on for about 30 seconds before they were ready to take her.  That is another thing we love about The Cutler Salon: in our experience we have always been taken on time and that is what we see for clients around us as well.

As the consummate professionals, Colorist, actually Color Goddess in our experience, Gaby Bowen, and Stylist new to Cutler and New York, Ting Ying, in tandem consulted with Peachy about what should be done.  This does not happen in every salon, but it always happens at Cutler. It makes so much sense to have everyone working on you at the beginning discuss what the end result should be.  Everyone agreed that Peachy Deegan needed a bit of a trim-an inch was taken off of the length and Ting added some more layers in the back which gives the optical illusion of Peachy being taller and her hair appears to be longer; it also accentuates her highlights, which were a continuation of Gaby's work from last time-totally perfect: http://www.whomyouknow.com/2011/05/salon-peachy-gaby-bowen-star-colorist.html  In fact, Peachy has gotten more compliments on her hair since Gaby and Emma did it than any other time since April 2010 when Movers and Shakers Rodney Cutler and Rachel Bodt did her hair.  You know Rodney also does Emma Watson's Pixie Cut and he'll be talking to us about that in the near future: http://www.whomyouknow.com/2011/07/we-are-excited-to-share-that-rodney.html

For the color this time around, Gaby touched up on the color, keeping it similar to the last time, avoiding red of course as that is #1 color goal for Peachy, and keeping the color seamless, not stripey. Gaby did not "blond it out" too much-it looks so natural everyone is still kept thinking that Peachy is 10 years younger than she actually is. The color is similar and consistent to last time and was followed by a "shine it up" treatment. Also, we've told you that Gaby is excellent at what she does; she also is a nice person to chat with which is also important if you're going to be working with someone for an extended period of time! Gaby just went on a great trip to Mexico and is a tequila enthusiast. Gaby is a brilliant colorist - she does go to the root like Peachy wants, but not in every spot-because it is better if it does not grow out all at once...which of course is again, more natural-looking and classier. It also grows out more seemlessly and lasts longer this way. When Gaby had the color perfect, next Peachy visited Ting Ying, who is from Miami and new to New York. Ting is super detail-oriented, which of course thrills us, and has a great eye. She also has great EYELASHES. Carefully, Ting gave Peachy a trim from section to section, making sure the overall result was the original goal. Look at Peachy's smile in the above picture...it is partly because she goes to Cosmopolitan Dental, but this particular smile is inspired by the excellent work Gaby and Ting performed on her hair. Another plug? After she was finished right before the picture above, Peachy ran into one of her classmates from Miss Porter's who was getting her hair done by someone else at Cutler. She hadn't seen her in probably a decade, and even though this girl lives in London it looks like she gets her hair done in New York, at Cutler. Emma Watson's not the only person coming over from England to enjoy the talent of Cutler. Now book your appointment: if you are fast you can get our deal for Tuesday or Wednesday of this week!!!

If you care about your hair, you should be going to The Cutler Salon. We give The Cutler Salon our highest recommendation.
