WHOM YOU KNOW CELEBRATES THE 1,400TH POST IN PRODUCT ALERT WITH TOM FORD VIOLET BLONDE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY WHOM YOU KNOW!

Peachy Deegan has returned to her blonde Boston College days!
But this time, it's not her hair.
At Whom You Know, we find and love many fragrances but save really excellent ones for milestone posts such as this.
Whom You Know is ecstatic to celebrate our 1,400th post in Product Alert with Tom Ford Violet Blonde!  This is of course how Peachy likes to be blonde in 2011!  Luxurious, elegant and versatile from day to night, this is what you should be wearing this season!
Everything Tom Ford has done that we have experienced has been the absolute very best.

We still are using his lipsticks and you'll see we don't even feature other lipsticks because they're not as fabulous as the Tom Ford lipstick. It's even under Links We Love which speaks for itself:

Tom Ford introduces a fragrance that makes unabashed, feminine elegance exciting again. VIOLET BLONDE is an opulent, dressed-up fragrance that revives the glamorous past of perfumery, when the most expensive ingredients in the world were crafted into signature scents of sophisticated beauty. It reinvents Violet’s classic character by juxtaposing its dazzling energy with the cool sensuality of precious Orris root. This unexpected relationship reveals a new facet of Violet: ravishing, sensual, elegant.   We know Marilyn Monroe was always famous for what she wore to bed-Chanel No. 5-but if she were asked today, Violet Blonde would be her answer we think!

The unexpected twist on Violet is created by wrapping Violet Leaf Absolute with the textural notes of Orris, the precious root of the Iris flower, and infusing this pairing with the lush, erotic energy of Jasmine Sambac. These three precious ingredients from the perfumer’s palette are meticulously tailored into an unmistakably modern fragrance architecture that moves with fluidity and rhythm.

Tom Ford says, “Violet Blonde has the spirit of a classical, European fragrance. It is formal, polished, and yet draws you in closer and closer, like a beautifully dressed woman whose refined presence charms, then fascinates, and ultimately seduces you.”

TOM FORD VIOLET BLONDE opens with a sparkling expression of opulence. Violet Leaf, an ingredient that is intimately connected with the land and history of Southern France and Northern Italy, is supported by Italian Mandarin and Baie Rose to create a green-citrus first impression. Violet Leaf’s open, bright character has a floral delicacy and a tremendous diffusive effect.

Then, two extremely valuable forms of Tuscan Orris, which is aged and distilled in a years-long process in the hills of Florence and Siena, are introduced. Rarely used in modern perfumery due to the cost and complexity of attaining it, natural Orris is luxury incarnate: a captivating note of silvery-violet richness with an earthy pull. It infuses cool perfection and starlit sensuality to the Violet story, while a third prestige note of Jasmine Sambac adds an entrancing, floral support.

As a smooth column of Tuscan Orris Absolute and Tuscan Orris Butter expands and develops, Violet Blonde’s sensual heart is established. This central column of Orris is responsible for the character of classically inspired perfection, longevity, and prestige.

Finally, a medley of creamy woods, including Benzoin, Cedarwood ORPUR™, and Haitian Vetiver Absolute wraps this complex heart in skin-warming softness. Musk and soft suede impart a sensational texture and depth to the dry down. This sumptuous and soft base allows the Violet-Orris relationship to deepen and evolve as the fragrance is worn.

The fragrance has a warm cognac hue. It is packaged in a transparent version of the fire-polished and ribbed glass bottle that has become a TOM FORD fragrance hallmark. A gold plaque, debossed with the TOM FORD logo and VIOLET BLONDE name, is riveted to the bottle. The glossy, deep-violet carton is ribbed to match the bottle texture. A golden-stamped plaque on the front and the golden TF logo on the top provide a striking contrast to the saturated violet color.
