Terrific Takeout: Goodburger

There is a time and place for everything, and Goodburger was clearly the place to be after the victory parade for the Giants yesterday at 101 Maiden Lane, expertly run by John Gristina.
Their logo is quite clever:
There are other locations in Manhattan as well and you can see them here:
http://goodburgerny.com/ but John is our pal and we KNOW him and you know it's not who you know it's WHOM YOU KNOW so Peachy went alllllll the way downtown to check out this hot spot.
Lots and lots of enthused Giants fans frequented this upscale burger joint, furnished with beautiful tv's to watch the City Hall ceremony for the big day.
Everything was superclean and well-presented and you know Peachy loves Pepsi-but you will see she loves root beer floats more...even the bathroom was spotless. and you don't always see that in such a casual place.
They even have a happy hour with beer...
In response to the above picture, Peachy feels a bit bad for everyone who was not at work while at the parade! This is work for Peachy!
The next thing she worked on was a superb root beer float by Goodburger. They make their own Vermont Ice Cream and their own rootbeer and it is incomparably excellent. It is rich and thick and a total dream. Not too much ice cream, not too much root beer. They know what they are doing here.
We next tried the Chicken Sandwich, which is defined as an All Natural Bell & Evans Chicken Grilled or Fried to perfection, served on a Brioche bun. The portion was generous and there was not too much bun for the chicken-the proper ratio was employed.
If you are a vegetarian, the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich with Cabot Cheddar, Roasted Red Peppers and Basil Pesto on a Whole Wheat Bun will totally hit the spot for you. Actually since Peachy is a total carnivore she thought it was a piece of mushroom on top of a cheeseburger (imagine her surprise when she tried it!) but she was wrong-it is a mushroom inbetween the bun and it was terrific. Who knew a mushroom could make such a meal?  Next time she is going to order the most naughty cheeseburger they have...and walk ten miles that day too.
You know you would be hard-pressed to find a more enthused crab aficionado than Peachy (she is always ordering crabcakes!)...A golden brown Maryland Crab Cake topped with Organic Greens, Tomato & a homemade Rémoulade Tartar Sauce will bring a bit of summer into your winter. And you know it just got colder again today!
The devil on Peachy's shoulder said if you are going to go for fries you may as well go all the way and try the chili and cheese fries! They were fantastically flavored and probably will kill your diet but once in awhile paired with exercise - we say why not! It is time to celebrate the superbowl and perhaps when football season starts up again you should return to Goodburger and get some for your television quarterbacks.
After that, it was high time for Organic Greens. Look at how beautifully they arrange it-it may be a casual spot but everything we saw was executed with care. Mixed Field Greens, Colby Cheddar, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumber, Sliced Olives and Crispy Fried Onions. Served with dressing and toasted pita points on the side will add some nutrition to your meal and we recommend this!
Sweet potato fries are simply delicious and cute ketchup packets are generously provided to complement them. Goodburger provides a plethora of choices sure to satisfy everyone with discriminating tastes who would prefer a quick bite to eat without compromising quality!
Goodburger is Terrific Takeout.
