Terrific Takeout: Chennai Indian Bistro

We bet you think that is lobster bisque, because that is something Peachy Deegan would order...however, if you thought that, you're wrong!  She has expanded her horizons and has found a second Indian place that is fantastic: Chennai Indian Bistro.  She thought she didn't like Indian food, but that was because in the past she had had Indian food that was not of quality.  Chennai Indian Bistro was simply spectacular, and here's why:
For a salad, we tried the Chana Chaat Salad.  Chick peas, onions, tomatoes and cilantro were tossed with chaat masala and lime juice to make a great salad.  Fabulously fresh, it was quite unique to us and tasty too.
As an appetizer, we tried the Tawa Chicken.  It is our first Tawa Chicken and it was fantastic.  Heading into the warmer weather this will be even better we think because of the fresh minty flavor: cubes of chicken are sauteed in garlic with onion and bell pepper with a dash of mint sauce.
They are smart to pack the rice separately from the main course so it doesn't get soggy...and Peachy Deegan tried the Chicken Korma at Sanjay's brilliant suggestion.  It is what looks like lobster bisque at the top!  The chicken was hiding in that picture, but here's what it looks like on the rice:
Boneless chicken cubes are in mild spices (perfect as hot spices send us to drinking a gallon of milk!) and almond gravy that we will warn you could become habit-forming.
Chennai Indian Bistro has been here since 1999 and we can see why-it really is delicious!
Chennai is Terrific Takeout!
