Lime Rock Park’s “Motorsports Photography Workshop” Has a Few More Openings
Just confirmed: The best shots of the weekend will be published in RACER Magazine and RACER.com. Call now to reserve your "seat"!

Lime Rock is offering both one- and two-day workshops during the Grand-Am Championship Weekend Presented by BMW, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29. The class sizes are limited and this is your last chance to enroll.

Lime Rock’s two previous photo workshops have gotten rave reviews, so we scheduled the third for one of the best race weekends of the year, the Grand-Am championship finale.

It’s called Motorsports Photography Workshop III – “On Assignment at Lime Rock”

OVERVIEW
Being “on assignment” is not about learning shutter speeds and aperture settings. This workshop is about learning what it’s like to be a hired photographer working for a client. Every student will get a client and that client’s “shot list.” In the real world, your client might be a race team, a tire or car manufacturer, a sponsor or even the track. Remember, your client is asking for specific shots – and you’re expected to get them! The Grand-Am championship will be on the line and you will cover it accordingly.

The objective is to experience the extent of the work and the creativity needed to deliver. It’s the kind of invigorating pressure that all professional shooters experience. This will be a tremendously exciting workshop. Students will learn about time management, juggling the demands of multiple clients, work flow both trackside and in the media center, and how to handle the pressure and politics endemic in the racing industry.

NOTE: The workshop is designed for intermediate to experienced photographers. Each student must own a digital SLR camera with interchangeable lenses and possess a level of understanding of how cameras function beyond beginner and novice.

NIKON PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Nikon Professional Services (NPS) will offer on-site support and a wide variety of cameras and lenses for photographers to test throughout the day. (Owning a Nikon camera is not a requirement to attend the workshop.) The Nikon gear is not meant to replace your personal equipment, but simply be an added benefit to workshop participants.
