Peachy's Pet Pals Exclusive: Strudel "Strudy" Marinelli Has a Little Sister! Introducing Sauci Marinelli!!!! Saucisse avec fines herbes Marinelli is her name in full...

Sauci Marinelli with her dad, Mover and Shaker Tony Marinelli

Tony tells Peachy Deegan:

It was another capricious moment. Cynthia, Strudel and I poured into the car
and headed for the Doxie Winter Fest. More than 350 Dachshunds took their
owners to the fair. That's a lot of wieners. They had a Doxie Fortune
Teller, Weenie Martinis and all things low and long!

Cynthia, Sauci and Strudy Marinelli

Of course they had a rescue station.  After purchasing our last
Precious being from American Kennels on Lexington avenue (next to Ginos with
the Wonderful Wallpaper) it was time to adopt. This spectacular
Minature Long Haired Speckled Sausage jumped off the rescue book pages. We
had to see her in person but she wasn't there. The dedicated staff informed
us that they didn't invite her because there were other "plainer" doxies
they needed adopted first . So we walked around and wondered whether we were
ever going to actually meet her. Running up to us and almost knocking us
over came one of the staff breathless saying ......she's here! Who's here
said we?! Jasmine, Jasmine who?......... Jasmine Kahn? No ......Jasmine the
Doxie! She was the speckled beauty we saw in the rescue brochure!
So off we went to meet our newest addition. Cynthia and I fell in love with
this string bean of a dog. She was by at least a foot the longest Dachshund
We had ever seen!!!!!

Little did we know that we needed to be vetted...? Us vetted? You've got to
be kidding! 3 References ? A conversation with our vet? What do we feed
our "other" dachshund? Were we applying for residence in a New York
co-op???  Your other dog is a bit over weight you know. So are the two of us
we replied! Yes well that's true hahahaha very funny. We finally went to
pick her up in a wonderful home dedicated to "fostering" dachshunds.
Ones with back problems, hearing problems even blind ones Bless the
Dachshund Rescue of South Florida and Bless Freddy and Bob the wonderful
foster parents. We brought our string bean home and its been a little tough
for our wonderful Strudel to accept a new sister.  Jasmine has had her name
changed to Saucisse avec fines herbes AKA Sauci!!!! Strudel the Nosey
Noodle and now Sauci the Flying Sausage!!! Sometimes referred affectionately
by her doting parents as .......Squiggles! Anyway check out the fest below!
