We loved the exhibition surrounding Street; cities are our thing!  Diane Arbus and Walker Evans are among the most talented photographers included.
Watching the Video Street is hard to appreciate today as if you go to some of the areas included we suppose you wouldn't see much difference as it was filmed recently, however as time goes on, generations to come will certainly have an appreciation for the video.  We were surprised to see it was only Manhattan as the streets captured were not the way we see Manhattan-what we saw reminded us of what we'd imagine in one of the four outer boroughs.  We did not see the entire video, however.  Our Manhattan are the windows of Fifth and Madison Avenue, the beautiful fashion, the amazing restaurants, and everything else you see in our 14,000 plus posts including several hundred on The Met, which we have always loved.
The Ford Motor Company collection boasts some extraordinary pieces that are among those in this gallery - must-sees!  One is the May Day Parade in Union Square from 1935.  Another is "On the Boulevards" in Paris.
We also admired the snapshots into the Egyptian dynasty in the form of reliefs.
