- Amongst them is a Rolex Ref. 6263 Gold Daytona Paul Newman prototype with lemon dial and graphics. Unknown to the collector community until recently, this is one of the rarest and most coveted Daytona’s ever to appear on the auction market. Made in the late 1960’s, this is an extremely fine, water-resistant 18K yellow gold wristwatch with chronograph, registers, tachometer and anti-reflect black bezel.

- Also offered in the special Rolex Daytona chapter is the extraordinary Rolex Ref. 6269/8 Cosmograph Oman. Sold to Oman in 1985, this is a fine water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman’s wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, bezel set with 44 diamonds, dial set with 240 diamonds and nine sapphires, and an 18K yellow gold Rolex Ref. 7205 riveted bracelet.

Estimate: CHF 300,000 – 500,000

Estimate: CHF 90,000 - 130,000

For the Patek collector, there is a Patek Philippe Ref. 1463. The reference 1463 is the only Patek Philippe vintage chronograph to have a water-resistant case and has become one of the iconic watches of the company’s production. It is interesting to note that Patek Philippe launched this luxury model and continued to produce it through the Second World War illustrating that even during this unstable period there was still surprisingly sufficient demand for high-end timepieces. Made in 1943, this is an extremely rare, early period, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, register and tachometer. It is accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

Estimate: CHF 80,000 – 120,000

Patek Philippe collectors should also take note of the Patek Philippe Ref. 3970 in white gold offered in the sale, one of the last ever made.
