Did you know that Ponty is the name of a road in Dakar, Senegal? We sure did not, but we do now since we've stopped by Ponty Bistro for some Terrific Takeout! They told us that's where their name came from, and we started with the Ponty Salad: Mixed Baby Greens with Shallot Vinaigrette, apple and grape tomatoes.  We loved the shredded carrots on top, and everything was fresh and crisp.  
Who can resist Truffle Macaroni and Cheese?  Peachy Deegan surely can't, and it certainly beckoned from the appetizer menu.  Just the smell of it was divine, and we are happy to say it had the taste to match.  Overall, Ponty Bistro fuses the tastes of West Africa with the Mediterranean and French but we think the whole world that has tastebuds loves truffle macaroni and cheese.
If you are an avid reader, you know that Chicken Parm evokes lovely memories of Lower, the phenomenal dining hall at Boston College, where Peachy ordered Chicken Parm a lot.  This was a fantastic very cheesy version, with little tomato sauce making it light and timely for summer.  You know you can say it in French like they do at Ponty Bistro: Le Poulet Parmesan!  Served with fettuccine, garlic and white wine sauce, this was a winner!
