Peachy's Pantry: Whom You Know Is Thrilled to Kick Off Coverage of La Rustichella Truffle Specialties!

If you met Francesca Brugnoli at The Fancy Food Show today and were given six new truffle products, would you eat them or go to bed?  Yeah, we wouldn't go to bed either.  Guess who just ate truffles six ways!  You know the Italians dominate the restaurant column, Peachy's Picks.  After seeing only part of the Italian section at The Fancy Food Show (Peachy spent the whole day there and only saw PART of it), all we can say is that everyone else should be scared because the Italians are so excellent it is scary!
Black Truffle Pate, White Truffle Pate, Porcini Mushroom Pate, oh my!
...and Black Truffle Creamy Sundried Tomatoes Spread!  Good thing the labels are in English because all Peachy can say is her name, nice to meet you and I love Italian shoes in Italian.
If you like sundried tomatoes, you can only imagine the decadence created when they are combined with black truffles.  Break open the prosecco (we did that too and drank it out of our awesome Belleek mug-first time not in a flute).
Another hit was the porcini mushroom pate.  And the black truffle pate was entirely lovable as well.  Each boasts decadent flavor and texture.  All pottery displayed is the Galway Weave by Belleek, because we like the best.  (and guess who is Irish).
Their site tells us:
It was the year 1986 when La Rustichella started by Sergio Brugnoli’s undertaking venture; he, President of the Company, is originally from Norcia, a place located in the central part of Italy, which is mostly known for its harvest and production of the valuable black truffle.
Thanks to his managing policy and the persevering quality research, characterised by creative and highly professional work, the company has reached important and ambitious goals.
Above all, the joint effort and the hard work of his wife and sons, which have supported him with competence and enthusiasm has lead the company to become one of the major leaders in the truffle markets and widely known all over the world.
The new, 7500 square foot, facility inaugurated in 2008, along with a sophisticated showroom where customers can enjoy the entire food choice, makes La Rustichella one of the most innovative and modern truffle companies.
We've never had Black Truffle Honey on Peaches before, but believe us, it is something you want to try.  Introducing EXTRAORDINARY honey.  Each of these products are kicked up a notch from where they'd be without the truffles.  Once you have had this you will start asking for truffle honey when you are given ordinary honey.
On some pasta with white sauce we placed the white truffle pate-again, it did not last long.  This line screams quality and we hope this is the first of many hits from this exquisite Italian brand.
Their site also tells us:
Our land is rooted in the antiquity of traditions of our family’s heritage.
It is not always easy to carry on these long-established practices with honesty, passion and expertise, however it is precisely the way we work.Beyond what is known as “La Rustichella”, stands the Brugnoli Family who has never forgotten its roots and time honored traditions.
With great respect for what Mother Earth has given us, we strive each day to live in harmony with nature, tending to her every need.
Aware that her well-being and ours go side by side, it is not hard to respect her; in fact it’s simple and deeply rewarding! The product of this philosophy is “La Rustichella”
It is through this philosophy that we pass on to you scents, tastes and colors of our generou
s land.
Each one of our products is harvested and prepared in our country: Italy.
We sauteed green beans and garlic and put black truffle salt on top.
Divine!
