Da Noi is a newcomer to Manhattan and they're located in midtown.  Although they've had a longtime establishment in another area in New York, we know our readers would think Manhattan is always different from the rest of the world.  We had heard good things so we thought we'd check it out and owner Edward was delightful to work with.  Peachy Deegan began with a summery enticement: Vongole Oreganata.  These little neck baked clams were nicely flavored and a lovely introduction.

The
Insalata Tropicale we tried next. A green salad is a must for every meal!
Da Noi was creative in both ingredients and presentation here, and though we thought it could have been more robust, what we did try was good. A
rugula, tossed with sliced strawberries, sliced apples, sliced pears tossed
in an olive oil and orange dressing with shaved ricotta salata on top was a party not to miss.

Edward said the Vitello Martini is a dish they excel in, so we tried the

veal encrusted with parmesan sautéed in lemon & white wine and found it to be convincing American Italian fare.
Da Noi is Terrific Takeout!
